That link actually goes to an article published in 2011, but at the top there is a link to the public comment section of the proposed change. I found this:

"While some lawful permanent residents can be subject to the public charge ground of inadmissibility because specific circumstances dictate that they be considered applicants for admission, most lawful permanent residents are not subject to inadmissibility determinations, including public charge inadmissibility. Therefore, lawful permanent residents who subsequently apply for naturalization would not be subject to inadmissibility determinations, including a public charge inadmissibility determination."

 

So that's good news. Considering that, do you think it would be fine to go ahead and apply for naturalization? Nowhere in the article did I find any mention of earned income tax credit. The only thing I found was this: Public charge adjudications would only account for receipt of designated public benefits, including cash assistance for income maintenance. But I don't know if earned income falls into that category.

But then again, it also says naturalization wouldn't be subjected. In addition, Luis has maintained full time salaried employment since May 2017.

so it looks like another mail from USCIS is coming my way. Most likely it is the official copy for 18 month extension.

Today I received a revised notice extending my residency from 12 to 18 moths. I had received a letter months ago but this is the same notice on actual immigration paper which they normally use for all notices.

Did you received a 18-month courtesy copy? I did and I’m not using any attorney.

I received a courtesy copy a few months ago, this is an I797 official recipe notice on the better quality paper. I'm not using an attorney ether.

When can you apply for Naturalization? 90 days before 3 yrs of GC issuance or no 90 day grace period?  Is everyone going to apply for or or wait this RoC out?

U can apply for n400 after 90day window opens up on the 3 yr anniversary of your GC. We just got approved for ROC and will file n400 later.

did anyone notice the Aug 2017 CSC filers already got their GC?some of Oct 2017 too. is it  means we will get our GC soon? maybe Mar 2019?

My estimation of when the majority of January 2018 filers could expect some action and decisions on their petitions is still:

June 2019 for VSC filers, and

Late July 2019 for CSC filers
