You guys will receive the letters soon....they have sent them out en masse so just keep an eye on your mailbox.

I don't understand how they are ordering these letters. It just seems random. Lots of Cali filers from Feb, March etc. have got their letters.

I was looking in to some older threads, and it appears some people are complaining that if you file your N-400, it delays the approval of the GC... however, for CSC filers it is already taking 18months+ (where as USC is allegedly taking 6-12 months) therefore, is it worth it- come January- to file for citizenship? I was planning on filing for/with my Husband, but now I'm not confident on what to do. Any thoughts?

I'm a cali filer, no extension yet. Honestly I'm not even worrying about the extension letter. As I see it we're good until April next year with the first letter we received. In barely 5.5 months we'll be filed for citizenship and even then we can always get a passport stamp at the local office. Granted the local office is 3 hours away but we can make it a mini-vacay day to Fargo. Woo go to the mall, or Scheels, or the air museum 'cuz that's about the only thing to do there hehe.

 Delays or not, at least by filing when the window opens you'll get your foot in the door. At least your state has more than 3 or 4 citizenship ceremonies in a year, uffdah! I'm prepared for a long wait for us for these next two processes but it's well worth being able to wash our hands of immigrations and save that fee money.

Yeah, I definitely understand where you are coming from. as a CSC filer we just received our extension letter last week- so hopefully you get it just to ease that concern. I agree, that it is probably worth the 'delay' in order to put our foots in the door for immigration and wash our hands from it all.

Hi! We are planning to apply for citizenship as soon we can.   I’m also thinking to go with attorney to do the citizenship paperwork Since the roc is pending.

If USCIS maintains the current processing speed, most of the VSC/CSC filers will get their 10 year green card by the end of next year April. Hope USCIS can speed up a little bit!
