Yes, probably most of us that filed with CSC.  I have two receipts, one for my wife and the other for her son.  My understanding is that all receipts for applications that were sent to CSC start with WAC followed by 10 numbers.  The online case tracker shows me no updates for either of my receipts but when I use the USCIS mobile app, my wife's receipt number shows "Fingerprint Fee Was Received I-751" and with information including the date it was received.  That was 49 days ago.  There is a lot of activity on other boards about CSC cases suddenly being transferred to local offices.  There is speculation that this may be a bug in the system.  We are hoping that it is a result of CSC being swamped and offloading cases to local offices for faster processing.  We are all eagerly watching tomriesgo's case which is the only January 2018 filer that we know of to get the same  notice on the case tracker.  Be patient though, there are still some December 2017 CSC filers that have not received their bio metrics notices.

 

There are a number of other forum subjects that you might want to keep an eye on.  Here are a couple I frequent that help show the progress that is or is not being made at CSC.

Hmm, I just tried on my phone and my wife's is recognized using chrome on my  phone.  Guess I never thought about the fact that I've always used my work computer and on my phone I've always used the app on my phone.  I just tried making an account online using my work computer and it wouldn't let me log in because the site couldn't validate my IP address.  I could sign in just fine on my phone which, at the time, was not connected to our work network.  So it looks like in certain circumstances no results will show if the IP address can't be validated.  Thanks mrandmrsBRS, I would have never made that connection without your post.

On 02/21/2018, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I-751 / CRI89 to notify us that you have not received your biometrics appointment notice. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved. 

Thank you for your inquiry regarding an appointment to have your biometric images processed at an Application Support Center (ASC). We are, unfortunately, experiencing a longer processing period than what is reflected on your Form I-751 Receipt Notice. Be advised that USCIS may be able to reuse the previously captured fingerprints and other biometrics for some applicants and have their biometrics copied into our systems.  In addition, USCIS can run the same security checks and use the same biometric data as in the past and may not need to schedule an additional biometrics appointment.  However, if a biometric appointment is necessary, USCIS will schedule your appointment electronically and mail the appointment notice to your current mailing address. The biometrics fee will not be refunded. 

 

Prior to filing my I751 I did apply for my license to carry LTC and had bio-metrics done for that as well as background checks, I'm wondering if they will be current for USCIS to use.

Did you do an inquiry online?  I called on 2/26 and my case status online says my inquiry about not receiving a "letter" was assigned to an officer for review. Haven't receiv d anything yet.

I phoned in and did the I751 by myself, I'm guessing based on your call being a few days after me you'll get the same response soon. Does it state your case was also sent to your local office? Its been 2 months exactly since I received my extension letter at home.

I used the Old USCIS Case tracking site (listed above) and filed my own inquiry about the delayed biometrics (instructions previously listed by me a couple of pages back). I did this TWO Days ago, (Tuesday) and received the same reply today ( as listed above) that the CSC is experiencing a longer process than usual, and that they may resort to using your old biomentics (on file) and that your $85 Biometrics fee will not be refunded. It only took two days to get a response.

Personally, I think that they knew this all along, and intended to use previously submitted biometrics data, but remained silent to receive the extra funds. Since they began 2018 with a 179,000 file backlog (held over from previous years), maybe they will use the 'redirected' and unnecessary biometrics fee to hire more adjudicators, or even pay a little overtime to speed things up. I could offer to them a suggestion: They should announce that for a $500 expedition fee, they would bump a petitioner's file to the front of the line and guarantee a 30-day processing completion, or the $500 expedition fee would be refunded. My guess is that at least 25% of those of us who are staring at a 16-month long wait would gladly pony-up the extra cash for a boost in processing preference. 

Or, maybe not. It's interesting to imagine, though . . .

Meanwhile, the 'Not-Knowing' is Rather Inconvenient. My wife would like to travel back to Korea to visit Family and friends, but because we might get the biometrics appointment at any time . . . (or not at all), we cannot risk buying a $1400 round trip ticket for her to fly back to her home country, and then have to scramble to get her back to the US in time for a bio appointment, should the proverbial letter arrive shortly after she flies out. Surely they should at least be able to ascertain whether or not a petitioner's old biometrics data will be used or not, and let the petitioner know something. Making petitioners wait in silence for something that may or may not ever come is quite unprofessional, inexcusable, and unacceptable.

I Forgot. It's the government.

Unprofessional, inexcusable, and unacceptable is their Standard Operating Procedure.
