Sure, but my point is that I am waiting on the USCIS to get back to me. I applied promptly within the allowed timeframe, and I, personally, think that if you can call yourself an immigration officer, you should understand that we are not allowed to apply before a certain window of time opens. His tone was rude and he also made a comment about me expecting to be able to tap my magic shoes together and just be allowed entry. Like all of you, I have gone through this process diligently, through all the proper channels, paid my fees and waited patiently for what is a rather drawn out process. I am willing to answer any and all questions, but I don't expect to be denigrated and belittled by officials.

Over the phone would they give me the info or would I have to make an appointment?

Correspondence will be sent to the address you put on the I-751, which is the most current address for any person applying. It wouldn't make sense to do anything else.

So although I don't have biometrics as of yet I did receive some other good news, my Employer has reimbursed me the ROC fee.

imo just because they ask it doesn't mean they are allowed to, and especially not in the derogatory and crude ways some of these POE officers choose to do so. The "allowance" comes from an abuse of power because they know they have the authority to deny you entry and there's nothing you can do about it. It's their job to make sure we're not planning to cross the border to do something illegal or dangerous.... not to profile and have personal opinions and agendas.

I stalked the January thread. There are some folks specifically who filed at the CSC that are still waiting for their biometrics. Wanted to let you guys know to ease your minds. If they are still waiting, we then will probably have a longer wait for that letter as well

Nothing here as well. No worry though , I751 is not a priority with USCIS.

My Post wasnt meant to offend anyone . I was just stating the obvious of what goes on at POE .

If anyone is interested about my Driver Licence Renewal experience with the NOA 1 year extension, keep reading this post. 

So I went this morning to the DMV in Simi Valley California without an appointment. I spent 2.5 hours there. The lady who helped me didn’t have an idea what to do and couldn’t even find in the letter where it states about one year extension and I had to point it at it so she could read it.. then she asked 3 other people and showing what I had. Finally she got it all straightened up and I had to take a pic again. She punched a whole in my current license and told me I need to carry it along with the temporary paper she gave me which will expire in May. She said it might take a long time to get my DL card in the mail because it takes a while for the DMV to verify my new info and letter. My current licence and green card expires on March 24 this year. She said that the new renewed license will expire on March 24th, 2019.. I just hope it’s true and that they don’t do it for the date on the NOA which is January. It was kinda pain to be waiting for them to figure it out but I’m glad I got something. Hopefully I will get my DL card within a month or less.

Good luck! at least they were able to do something, and hopefully it was the right thing!

As far as DL's go, I feel very fortunate to live in Florida. The only issue I had was finding a DMV that would process an immigrant (two places said they weren't trained to do it before I was sent to the correct one), and after that I was given a license good for eight years. I didn't even realize it was an issue for some people before I joined this thread. The further into the immigration process I've gotten and the more I read of other peoples struggles, the angrier I get whenever I hear someone say how "easy it is to immigrate" and how "lawmakers should make the process more difficult". I wish the stereotypes didn't make people so ignorant.
