I have a question in regards to address change.

 

Last year we moved and I submitted the address change with the post office but I didn't do the form we are supposed to do for here.

 

I'm hoping I won't have any problems.

 

On the I-751 I just wrote the new address and in the section that says previous addresses I obviously wrote the new one.
 

I wasn't that worried but now since I have submitted the ROC and waiting for the NOA I'm worried that it'll be sent to the previous address.

 

Did anything do something similar and if so what do you think or what have you experienced?

A willful failure to give written notice to the USCIS of a change of address within 10 days of moving to the new address is a misdemeanor crime. If convicted, you (or the parent or legal guardian of an alien under 14 years of age who is required to give notice) can be fined up to $200 or imprisoned up to 30 days, or both. The alien may also be subject to removal from the United States. (INA Section 266(b)).

No idea what’s going on... everyone here is already receiving their NOA1 3-5 days after they sent the package, but I shipped mine on the 31st and according to tracking it arrived Feb 2nd. They haven’t even cashed the check yet, and its feb 11....

So there is an older thread on here stating that a lot of applicants never receive biometrics due to USCIS using older Biometrics. Those affected then go on to say they would have to call USCIS to ask for their application number.

Relax - you forgot to give them your up-to-date address, that is not the same thing as a willful failure. Seriously, I would not even bother calling this in if my I-751 had all the correct info including address history and I was not charged with any crime during that time, etc.

Sometimes it takes longer for some applications... constantly thinking about it and checking on it just makes it feel even longer. It won't change the time or the fact if it is not accepted. I learned this the hard way when I originally applied, for AOS, and my application was 1-2 weeks behind everyone else.

 

Too many of you anxiously wait for each and every little thing. Just go about your everyday lives.

We will be returning to US by april and Relocating to Texas. Out of boredom, or impatience, or something....I went to USCIS.gov and clicked on check case status. We don't have our bio letter yet, but just for giggles I typed in the case number that came with the NOA1 and it says "fingerprint fee received". 

 

Just wondering if anyone knows why this case number is bringing something up in the case status checker on uscis.gov when it is supposed to be the case number on the Bio letter that you track with?
