Flight home after interview

I'm trying to figure out flights.

Appointment is at 9:15am

There's a flight at 1:46pm otherwise the next flight is at 7pm

 

Do you think that's enough time or it's pushing my luck?

Would help if you stated which airport and how far away your appointment is.  Otherwise, nobody can tell you anything.

I had tagged the post Juarez in the Mexico forum, I looking for replies from people who have experience interviewing there.

My wife also had her appointment at 9:15. She spent almost exactly 3 hours inside the embassy, arriving at the hotel at 12:30. From what I've read 3 hours is common if everything goes smoothly. I think the 1:46pm flight is cutting it a little close. Let's say your wife exits the embassy at 12:30, that gives you just over an hour the get to the airport. While the airport is small and somewhat close by, I would still feel like this is a risk. There was a user whose wife tried to pay the interview fee with a credit card in her husbands name. This is not allowed so she had to exit, get cash, and come back and pay, adding an extra 1-2 hours to her wait.

 

I would do the 7pm flight. Most hotels will let you hang out in the lobby after you check out.

Thanks, you're right its better safe than sorry, there's a movie theater.

 

I thought there wasn't a fee for CR1 cause we paid the IV with the DS-260, if there is one do you know where I find that info? I had been looking.

DCFers pay the IV fee at the embassy so you should be ok. I was mostly trying to show how delays can happen even if you have an easy case.

Ah ok thanks, I just keep getting nervous that I'm forgetting something.

 

Now I just wish my interview wasn't on Jan 2nd so I could save money on the flight, but I guess its better than no interview.
