Hello,

I have heard you could schedule a appointment for EAD on a K1 visa and get it.. For example if we schedule a info pass appointment for Feb 1. And then schedule her flight Jan. 25th. She could receive in hand an EAD for 90 days off of the Jan 25th date. She LL have the easiest in hand on Feb 1 after the appointment. That way if we file right away we don't get the EAD near the end of the 90 days making it useless. I know it's additional 425$.

Does anyone have any articles on this or any personal experience?

 Thanks

I’ve seen something about being able to expedite an EAD but I think you need a job offer first.

I also think that you have to be married and applying for AOS when you make the expedite request.

Sorry I can’t signpost you to anything but if you have a root around this website, I’m sure you’ll find some info.

On what basis would you get an EAD right away? Even an expedite takes a matter of weeks to get the card.
