https://ijr.com/the-response/2017/12/1034133-bias-fbi-agents-issue-gop-lets-talk-nyc-field-office/

In their zeal to muddy the waters of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation of the Trump administration, Republicans have seized on the texts between two FBI agents who worked on both the probes of Hillary Clinton's emails and Russia/Trump collusion in last year's election.

It is a can of worms that, if there is any justice in the world, they will regret opening.

Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee spent Wednesday thunderously denouncing Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, the two FBI agents who spent much of 2016 texting each other that they think Donald Trump is “an idiot.” Which is a rich irony considering that so many GOP elected officials and their aides have allegedly been saying the same thing to each other and to the press (often anonymously) for two years.

But in the public opinion arena, Republicans are using the texts to claim an inherent bias against the president in the investigation overall. The idea is to discredit Mueller, even though he fired Strzok in July as soon as he found out about the texts, and prematurely smear the investigation's results as a partisan snipe hunt.

To be clear, FBI agents are allowed to have personal opinions about politicians without those opinions affecting their work. But if Republicans want to go down this road of revealing text messages to probe bias against a politician, by all means let's grab the text messages of every agent who was working in the bureau's New York City field office in 2016.

Why? Because FBI agents were so anti-Hillary Clinton that the bureau was informally referred to as “Trumpland.” The leaks from inside the agency about investigations of Clinton, her family foundation, her email server, and anything else agents could think of reached such a fever pitch that even congressional Republicans were said to be uncomfortable with how much the FBI was inserting itself into national politics.

When the anti-hillary agents are in charge of prosecuting Hillary….I am sure we can talk about it then. Until then….we need to expose the corruption and bias of those involved in this witch hunt.

What is interesting is that it is the Mueller team and the DOJ that is actually muddying the waters.  There may be those in the GOP that are pointing it out, but it should be pointed out and it should have not been hidden for so long.
