i don't know who you're referring to when you say regressive left. as i said, i've not seen/heard anything from my sources (which i assume to you are the 'regressive left') that state only corporations/1 percenters are getting a tax break. maybe if you'd provided a quote..but you didn't. so i gave you an example of the information i'm seeing.

You wonder why they are screaming so much now?  If this is going to be disastrous for the GOP, why not just let it happen and the Dems can clean up in November.  It seems more likely they are doing everything they can to downplay this now with their allies in the media to try and taint any actual economic success this may bring to the country.

In high-tax States, that's true (unless they're owners of qualified pass-throughs).

I had a stock-broker (a client) on the phone yesterday. He's getting a $1.5m bonus (good for him). He lives in NYC. I did a simulation of the aggregate 2017 and 2018 tax liability (factoring the no-SALT deduction next year) and he breaks even, almost to the dollar, it was unbelievable. That's why they lowered the top rate, otherwise high salary earners in NY, NJ, CA would have got hit heavily.

And the Dems who complain that the individual cuts expire in 10 years are ridiculous. The only reason why they expire it's because they couldn't find 8 Dem senators to vote for it in the Senate.

And guess what's gonna happen? They'll extend them (or hopefully make them permanent) in 10 years.

the individual cuts could very well be renewed, that isn't the reason the bill is ultimately for the very rich. i never said anything about the expiration date.
