I'm not in the same situation but I waited 2 years to get my K1 visa because I had to wait for family court to give me permission to move to the united states with my daughter. So our k1 petition expired and I had to get an extension, which meant new medical examinations, police certificates etc.

So I do understand your frustration even though our situations are different. All the best and good luck! :)

From my observations on this board I would say more than 12 months for a I751 is quite the exception.

Did you also inquire about the status of your petition when you had your passport stamped?

Yes, I did. I was told that I should be getting something in the mail in the next few months. They told that my case has been transferred to their local office from TSC a month ago and they just started processing I-751 after not processing this type of cases for a while.

Hi, everybody! Can't be quiet any longer. My 1-year extension expired on April 21. Last Monday I had to do a 4-hour drive each way to get my passport stamped. Our I-751 has been pending for over 12 months now and still no result. Am I the only one who has to wait so long?

If you want to force adjudication, file for CItizenship. That will get it moving.. If not, no big deal, I-751 is not a pressing issue for the DO's.

Hmmm...I'm wondering if a transfer to your DO means you've been "selected" as one of their random samples for interview.

Good luck and I hope they resume processing of your application soon! Please keep us updated as we have not seen too many I-751s that is taking as long as yours has.
