Haha, well, couldn't help myself. I tried the number anyway. It was to a bank. Woman on the phone said that she gets that all the time. :P

I got a hold of someone at the Consulate and she said that the I-130 hadn't arrived there yet, but to give it about a week and they should have it. I should expect the letter/packet in about 10-14 days.

USCIS gave you a wrong number to call the Visa Section?

I called the Consulate today and I got the same answer like you.

I have this number 06975358200 since I started the DCF, I got it from the Consulate. USCIS messed up the number, they put an extra number 2 in there. Typical USCIS to make mistakes.

Well, hope we hear soon about the interview.....I wonder if Walter got any response about his petition

Hehe, figures. I don't know when I will be calling them again. I do want to give them at least the 10-14 days to mail something out before I call them again. Thanks for the correct number. :)

Yeah, Walter should be approved if I was, in deep theory. I filed after he did. Hope you are posting next Walter with a tenative approval!

 Let me know when you have news.....I think I will try to call again next Friday....Uf waiting is soooo hard! :hehe:

Because I waited so long for my petition to be approved I will face soon a new problem: my passport. The IV Section wants the passport to be at least 6 months valid in the moment they issue the visa ....in June my problem starts :crying: . Let's see how I am gonna fix it.

Thanks for remembering me! No, nothing yet. I finally got a response to one of my many e-mails to Frankfurt last week, but it was pretty much a form letter ("Your I-130 is still being adjudicated. This process usually takes from 60-90 days." Wow, thanks for the info!)

I'm glad y'all are officially on the way! Adriana, that was good thinking to go over Frankfurt's head...I think such offices need a bit of pressure now and again. And Wacken, your petition getting approved (congrats, by the by) gives me hope that mine will get through soon. Only problem is, I didn't send proof that our relationship was valid. I even e-mailed saying I'd be willing to send proof, but in the answer (same mail as above) simply said "you will be informed if you need to send anything more." I'm hoping that the fact that we have two children together is proof enough  (After all, children's birth certificates count as proof, and they do have copies of them. I just hope they'll think to dig them up!)

Anyway, cross your fingers for me!

Walter, it is very possible just because you added your kids birth certificate not to be necessary to send proof of your marriage. Send again an email or call, maybe you are approved too. Wish you the best.

I'm glad you like the website! Though honestly, I haven't had a moment to work on any of them for a long time, what with our moving to the US and all. Oh well, maybe I'll get to it some day...

it went fine and the Officers have been very friendly in Frankfurt

We left Aschaffenburg close to 8am in the morning since our appointment was at 9:30am

we got into a traffic jam on the Autobahn but still made it to the Consulate by 9:15am. We got in line to obtain a Ticket and than in the other line for security check. Then we had to sit down and wait for our number to be called. meanwhile Thomas had to make some passport photos and we had a problem with change, the passport thingy only took change and the change machine was out of order but another very friendly couple gave us some change.

Our Number was called and we had to go upstairs to window 40. Gosh have we been nervouse LOL I don't even know why. The Officer was very friendly and even joked around a little bit, asking about Texas etc. and what made us get married in Waco TEXAS? We than had to go downstairs to pay the fee of $190 and to make a copy of my Divorce Judgement, we had to go upstairs to turn it in and had to go back downstairs to wait for our Number to be called again for Window 23 to turn in the Application for Immigrant Visa. That Lady was very friendly too and explained us the whole process, asked me some Questions, gave us some more forms and also asked when we plan on going to the US. We told her in September. She told us I could either make my medical on beginning of July or the same day I will get my Interview. They will Schedule my Interview as soon as I-130 is approved and I Faxed the Form that I am ready and have all Forms required. The Medical will cost 125 Euros and on the Interview day I have to pay the last Fee of $380.

Now we have to wait for the Documents of our Co-Sponsors and we are all ready

I'll keep you all updated!!!!

Great Mammimaus2007, congratulations for starting your visa process and good luck for a speedy journey!

I started DCF the same like you, we went directly to the Consulate because it says it is faster if you start in person the process versus the mail.

Our I-130 just got approved, we waited a long time for that, aprox 4 months. It was a nighmare!

I hope yours will be approved faster.

When you planned to move to US? and where?

We're not sure when we're moving yet--if I don't get a job, then I'll be flying in August and returning for my family in September. This should be enough time in any case for the visa to go through (I hope).

If I do get a job, then it might move up some, maybe as early as July. This would be pushing it as far as the time schedule goes!

We're moving to the west coast in any case. I'm mainly applying for jobs in Portland, OR, but I've also applied for a couple in the San Francisco area. We're just waiting to see what comes of it!
