If you have a Sofa Stamp you are able to. My husband is a Civilian Employee and has a Sofa Stamp and we where able to file DCF

good thing is if you are Active Duty you will get all of your Fee's back from uncle Sam

not only active duties can get the fees back, my husband is civilian for the army, like yours, and my visa fees were included in the PCS reimbursement.....so I already got my money back from uncle Sam...plus the plan ticket :D

So... we're not gonna get any money back :) we're not military....

I checked the status of my letter today, and the status info is sorta funny:

"Die Sendung wurde zur Abholung durch den Empfänger bereitgestellt und von diesem am 30.07.2007 abgeholt. Achtung: Das angezeigte Zustelldatum weicht eventuell vom tatsächlichen ab (das handschriftliche Datum auf dem Auslieferungsbeleg war nicht eindeutig lesbar)."

If you don't know German:"The mailed item has been made available to the recipient for pick up and was picked up by the same on the 30th of July, 2007. Attention: The shown date of delivery might vary from the exact date (the handwritten date on the delivery receipt was not clearly legible)."

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA :crying:

WT* BBBBBBBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP??????????

plus, when i checked yesterday on the 31st, it said it was still at the postoffice! I don't get it.... Now I'm waiting to hear from the embassy.. if they don't write soon, I might just scan in and email the forms.... so glad i made copies right now.

/end drama

Awesome  well my husband didn't had any orders to Germany, he came over as a tourist and applied @AAFES so I guess we won't see any money back :crying: But oh well, that is fine.

Still haven't gotten a Reply on my EMail that I wrote to Frankfurt  so I guess they are taking there time on everything right now, if we would live in France I would already be booking my ticket since I would be done

Mammimaus2007 congratulations for the interview date  I had the same problem like you with the address: on DS-230 part 2 you will put the new address in the States and when they ask you which one will be the address USCIS will send you the Green Card you just tell them the new address and they will delete the address on DS-230 part 1.

yes that is correct but also the Greencardholder always hast to file a change of address after a move until you are a US Citizen

It is Form AR-11

(AR-11, Alien's Change of Address Card

This card is to be used by all aliens to report a change of address within ten days of such change. The collection of this information is required by Section 265 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1305). The data isused by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for statistical and record purposes and may be furnished to Federal, State, localand foreign law enforcement officials. Failure to report a change of address is punishable by fine or imprisonment and/or removal.)

most Alien's don't do it but especially having a pending petition AOS, removal of conditions etc. it would be smart to do it LOL
