... that pervert comment can be quite missunderstood by people who are not aware of the new law (even took me a second) :huh::rolleyes:

@Maydaydas

Yeah, I think this has been the only time the Deutsche Post has failed me, but then of course when it really counts. My best guess is that the streets got mixed up... We got a letter a while back that was for somethingstieg 39 when our address is Aurikelstieg 39, same zipcode... I then walked their letter over to their mailbox since it was 2 minutes away. I guess whoever got our letter just returned it to the postoffice?!?! I don't know.. I did call the customer line and complained and even talked to one of the postmen one morning, but he was rather shy and said that it always switches who delivers where. Well.. here's waiting for the interview date should come this week i guess (funny fact - In American thinking the week starts with Sunday, whereas in German thinking the week starts on Monday so is tomorrow this week or next week?)

Hello,

Just curious, any of yall military or military dependents? If it applies, if I was TDY in germany for like 4 months, would I be able to get my hubby to the US through DCF in Frankfurt using my orders? It seems so much quicker to process a greencard through the embassy than stateside. :wacko: Im really impressed at the time frames here.

I was just browsing thru some DCF postings and found one in France that made me wonder. Is it possible that France is working so much faster?
manuidf78

her or his I-130 was approved in 8 days and they filed in June????? how in the world was that possible to get it approved that fast with the Adam Walsh law? they even have the interview appointment already. I am so happy for them but wonder why it takes way longer everywhere else? :blink:

My hubby is flying to the states September the 1st to already start working and to rent a house etc. I just hope we don't have to wait till next year to join him because my girls would miss to much of the school year :unsure:

By the way for everybody looking for cheap oneway tickets, try ABCtravel, we got a ticket for my hubby for $380 including all Taxes!!!! :thumbs:

so, I sent the forms with a trackable number this time and according to the Deutsche Post, my letter has been lying in the inbox of the embassy at the postoffice in Frankfurt since Saturday... Does the embassy not retrieve their mail every day? (Like Monday or Tuesday?) I emailed again today.... Wacken, you sent your form DS230 as email? is that right? Did you just send the pdf? Didn't know they would except that.

Yeah...

First we tried to mail it...never got there.

Then we tried to fax it twice...never got there.

I e-mailed them "#######?" They said to scan and email it to them. Had to do that twice because my husband cut corners. But they finally accepted and they had my husband scheduled for a date immediately. They remembered me from my e-mails at the interview... Haha!

I am not military and have no idea what TDY is supposed to mean, but if you have acceptable orders to be in Germany (and you are there at the time of filing), you may file.

Question is you still are in Germany in TDY or you gone already? In order to do DCF you have to reside in the foreign country......Do you have a SOFA stamp for Germany? Please call USCIS Frankfurt 06975352233 maybe you are allowed to file there.

Good luck to you :thumbs:
