Jumping the gun? Holder, liberal activists gear up for Mueller firing with elaborate protest plans

Wonder what they will do if Trump doesn’t fire Mueller?

 

Obama officials and liberal activists already are calling for organized protests to defend the “Republic” if President Trump fires Special Counsel Robert Mueller — even though the commander-in-chief says he has no plans to do so.

Republican frustration over Mueller’s probe has indeed intensified in recent weeks amid allegations of bias on his investigative team. Complaints have focused lately on the disclosure of anti-Trump text messages between two former Mueller investigators. 

But the burst of warnings about a Mueller firing -- which Trump denies -- stems in part from an unconfirmed rumor. Democratic California Rep. Jackie Speier claimed Friday that “the rumor on the Hill” was Trump would fire Mueller at the end of this week, after lawmakers leave D.C. for the recess.

I had forgotten about this.  I thought Trump was supposed to fire Mueller last weekend?

trump knows better that to fire mueller. it already looks bad enough with him trying to smear the fbi and justice department. i saw chris christie (who's only redeemable quality is his love for bruce springsteen) commenting about how trump should slow his roll with mueller because what if he exonerates trump and trump's been doing nothing but bashing the whole thing?

makes sense, why is trump trying to end an investigation if he has nothing to hide? doesn't he want his name cleared?

All I have seen on the corporate media the last few days has been "Trump better not fire Mueller" even though he has never said or even hinted he was thinking about it. I'm sure he knows letting the "investigation" run its course so that the left looks even more foolish is the best course of action.

He will fire Rosenstein and allow Sessions to put in someone  interim who can mitigate Mueller. The cannot stop him but they can slow the process.

I think the FBI and DOJ lifers are doing that all by themselves.  I realize that when people point it out they will be attacked, but that is the nature of the game.  Btw, I thought Trump was an idiot, how would an idiot know better?

depends on the narrative you accept, imo. i've heard trump trying pretty hard, as well as certain house republicans.

Isn’t it up to the House and the Senate to keep the Executive Departments accountable?

 

Now it is follow the money?  I agree, I really liked how Hillary funneled some of her campaign money through her lawyer to hire a foreign agent to assist her campaign.  I think some of that money may have ended up in Russian hands as well.

now it is follow the money? it's been follow the money from the very beginning. and maybe that hillary info would matter to me if she were president now. she isn't. for some reason trump supporters always want to go back to hillary and disregard the notion that anything is amiss with trump.

Don’t really care about Hillary, but this whole investigation is supposedly about improprieties during the 2016 election.  Last I heard, there were two main candidates in that election and so far the only one where there is evidence of one colluding with a foreign agent was Hillary.  Or is the investigation only about Trump and how could he have possibly beaten Hillary, or how could have the biased media and their polling been so wrong.  By the way, I read a story that said Jill Stein was also at the dinner in Moscow with Michael Flynn, maybe she should be added to the investigation as well.
