Hello everyone. I recently filed the K1 Visa for my fiance who lives in haiti. A little back ground story of us is I'm american him and I have been talking for two years and recently got engaged on our 1st yr anniv. I filed for him on December 8th and over night the application to the Lewivile location in Texas. I included alot of documents in our package such as: 

1. Photo's we took when I visited him (Only went once)

2. Pictures of our engagement

3. Proof of Divorce (I was married once)

4. 2 Passport photo's for both of us

5. Both letters of intent's

6. Letter from my pastor

7. Letter from his sister

8. Proof of wedding preparation: I already placed a down payment on the location I want the wedding to be (Hopefully hes here by July or i'm going to have to push it back"

9. My heart warming letter

10. Emails between him and I dating back to 2 years ago.

11. Application

 

I'm going to keep you guys updated on my journey.

 

If there's any one who recently filed that has any insight on the procedure please feel free to post I am anxious to know the actual process times for this.

I filed 12/15 for my fiance'. I did not send all the info you sent. Now I'm nervous LOL!

Yay! The December k1 topic! :D

 

My fiance and I send of the k1 papers yesterday. Due to arrive at USCIS on Saturday. 

We've been working on things for months and I can't wait till we get the noa 1 and we can start the count.

I'm sorry to be a party pooper here. I hope it's not too difficult to push the wedding back cause I'm afraid July is a bit optimistic. Current processingtimes are around 6 to 7 months before noa2. Then he still needs to go to the interview and medical which takes about 2 months. I'd say we'd be happy to have our visa in hand at the beginning of October. 

 

Anyway. Good luck to all us December filers!!! Hope our journey will go smooth and fast.

I'm  a natural worrier.. I sure wish I could change that!  I know this is a long process... I hope I survive my fiancé is fine.. LOL! As always!!!

Well from my understanding Haiti process times is a little bit faster once they receive packages. As long as you have the funds that they ask you that is needed fro the medical examine along with the interview fees it could take a couple of weeks no later than a month. They process things quickly there when it comes to visa's. Its the U.S process that drags for so long. I was told they are at the beginning of September :(

Wow things are quiet around here. Everyone must be busy for the holidays.

 

We filed our K1 on the 20th and got an electronic notification on the 29th that the case was received on the 22nd and had been forwarded to the Cali SC. Just entered our data on the VJ timeline. Let the long wait begin.
