Large majority of Americans think Trump did something illegal or unethical in regards to Russia ties

President Trump calls the Russia investigation a witch hunt, but a large majority of Americans are convinced that he’s done something wicked.

Forty percent of respondents said that the commander-in-chief had committed a crime while another 32% saying that he had at least done something unethical, according to an AP-NORC poll.

Only 25% said that he had done nothing wrong in regard to his ties to Russia.

Almost two-thirds, 63%, said he had tried to impede or obstruct the investigation into Russian election meddling and potential ties to his campaign, though those numbers have not changed since June in the aftermath of his firing FBI Director James Comey.

Special counsel Robert Mueller, himself a former FBI Director, was appointed afterward to investigate the alleged election interference, which has come to dominate Trump’s first year in office.

His legal team has said they are cooperating with the prosecutor, though the President himself has criticized the investigation as it led to an indictment against his former campaign chief Paul Manafort and guilty pleas from former national security adviser Michael Flynn as well as adviser George Papadopoulos.

clearly a large percentage of american people are politically biased and allowing this bias to cloud their judgement. although that 25% who believe trump is a good boy falls right in line with his approval rating right about now.

More folks are not identifying themselves as Republican , Trump is accelerating folks heading to the exits.

I also often make the mistake of referring to all liberals as leftists or Regressives.  There are plenty of rationally minded liberals who are not leftists or Regressives.

Completely agree.  Most liberals I know are very open minded.  Those driving in the MDL, not so much.
