link to pay on website has been down for a while..Phiippines!!!!!

You have to get the travel tax exemption before the airline can entertain you at the airport. Too stressful if I have to do that before checking in. I got my travel tax exemption at SM North Edsa in Quezon City. It says below that you can also do travel tax payments. I also got my travel tax exemption one time at Robinsons Galleria in Mandaluyong. Maybe the other SM Malls (Mall of Asia, Megamall) have these government services too. Hope that that the online payment works though. Good luck!

My Fiancee is getting ready to fly out of NAIA Terminal 1 , and will have to pay the travel tax of 1620PHP..

.Can anyone with RECENT experience at Terminal  1 explain the procedure from arriving at terminal, to checking in,buying Travel tax ( WHERE IS THE TRAVEL TAX DESK LOCATED/DOES SHE BUY travel tax before checking in or after , THEN going  thru immigration process? She will have our 2 yr old daughter with her but she has both Philippine and USA passport so she should be exempt from the travel tax...

Any help Much appreciated...please have recent experience within this year 2017..

Thanks for the help

Travel tax counter is at the front of the terminal between the two entrances.  This must be paid before check in.  Everything will be verified during check-in (CFO sticker, travel tax).  Terminal fee is included with the airfare so after check-in you will process to the gate, of course clearing security along the way.

At POE for clearing Immigration it is best to ask the first CBP agent she spots which counter she should use for processing as this is done at a specific counter, here is where she will turn in the DO NOT OPEN envelope.

Safe travels.

They are located just inside the passenger lobby. She will spot the desk when she looks around. If in doubt ask.

Travel tax can be paid online with a credit card http://tieza.gov.ph/announcement/

Check your ticket for all taxes paid.

Paying online isn't working, it has been down almost since they started offering the service.   Welcome to the Philippines

well..the fiancee made it out of MNL....on her way to me...

BUT ,  we did have to pay travel tax for our baby, even though she has her American Passport...

They explained since this was her 1st time leaving the country, we would have to pay tax for her..but now she's in the system , not anymore..

Since my fiancee was traveling alone with the baby, she got priority line to check in , and also in immigration, so she was through very fast, which surprised me..

Thanks for the update.  Good to know on the travel tax for the little one, no one has ever posted back on that, but it does make sense being a foreigner would have to pay travel tax if in the Philippines over a year.  What you avoided with the dual passports was ECC which can be hundreds of thousands of pisos in your situation.

7 more hours and you should be smiling big time!

She will be guided where. The booth is visible before checking in.

Don't need any guiding for the Travel Tax counter.

Guidance is helpful once arriving at POE to get to the correct CBP counter for processing incoming emigrates.   (which for Honolulu is to the left as you enter the room, at least it was in 2012)

So what is the rule for Travel Tax now of days?

Does US Citizen Pay if only on a short trip like one month or less?

Does Philippines Citizen who holds a Greencard have to pay if they only stay like a one month?

No.  And no.

Green card holders can be asked to get an "exemption" for the travel tax .. they nail them for about P200 to do this, plus the fun of waiting in line.
