Hi everyone!

i just have a quick question about sending international mail from US to Nigeria. What is the best mailing service to use and how much will it cost me to send a letter?  I’ve tried looking it up myself online and it’s a bit confusing. Wanting the opinion of someone who’s used this service before. It’s for letter of intent to marry and another letter I need my fiancé to sign

thanks so much!

Best options are UPS, FEDEX or DHL. Do not use normal post because they will not get it on time. For prices you can take the package to all 3 and find which one is cheaper for you.

Thank you !

I have used DHL (Nigeria - USA / USA - Nigeria).

They cost based on weight...

e.g; 1 kg - #31,000 ( $85 - $90).

Their service is dope. Nigeria to Texas takes max. of 4-5 business days to get to the purposed address.

Thank you! I’ve heard people say on this site that it has to be a wet signature ???

That rule changed in 2013 when USCIS updated the instructions 😊.

I'm not sure why people don't research before they give outdated info!

@Unshakable Faith and @Msanelson1

It is true you can scan and email to your spouse/partner to sign and scan back to you. I did most of my forms for my spouse that way but I also used those form signing as an opportunity to visit Nigeria to see my spouse.

Also just wanted to put this out there:

if you get a K1 denial it is always a better option to just marry the person involve if you are truly sure he/she is the one and that will stop the denial as you will now be filing a CR1. Most of my friends and family members who had same issues did that and all got approved each time and they here happily with their spouses. Keep in mind most visas have yearly quota but immediate family visas for Spouse, children and parents do not have quota.
