Waiting for the NVC

Nov 10th Approval and still has not arrived at NVC, I have two inquiries out with NVC and USCIS. I dont understand what takes so long for it to go from USCIS to the NVC.

Mine was approved at the end of October and It arrived last week to NVC. I am still waiting to hear from NVC cause the case arrived, but they haven't done anything with it. They told me it may be take up to 5 weeks till I heard from them. Your case should be found soon, but you will need to keep waiting.

My main concern is expiration on interview date, for me it says we must do our interview by march 9th. What happens if they take too long to get it to the consulate and the interview cant be scheduled before that date? Can an extension be filed because it took longer on there end?

Great. Hopefully they get back to you soon. I am requesting my parents, so my case is a little different. They are priority, but I think your case should be done faster. I will try to keep posting updates about my case anyways.

just called again, our approval nov 22. Still nothing in the system. She said email them the noa2 to the research guys which I have already done. and to keep calling in the week and next week to see any progress.

I have approval date 11/21 and I got an update on the USCIS app on 1/5/18 that USCIS sent my case to Department of State.  I didn't receive no letter or no email.

I'm confused...do where does it say you have an expiration date for the interview?

I think that only applies for K1 visa. The other petitions don't have an interview date yet.

We got our NOA2 approval on November 21 and also nothing from NVC. I called again today (after calling both NVC and USCIS last week) and finally the woman admitted that they've been "hearing about a lot of November cases that are missing." Very concerning. I'm hoping I get something soon. How long until we really need to worry?

Also, I'm so sad because we already had a save-the-date (email) card made for March...but now that's looking unlikely. 

And we are going on 9 months total and it's not even in Spain...

We are applying for K1 visa...so where would that be? And there's expiration dates for interviews for K1 or other visas?

Just got off the phone, NVC received at January 10th, been told to wait 2 weeks for the case number to be signed.

Congratulations!

I read your timeline. You said once CC, your CEAC AOS status disappear. I heard a lot about this trick but never confirmed with a real case. Great!

BTW, do you get your interview date in Guangzhou yet?

We finally heard back nearly the same day I called twice....fiance's interview is March 5! By the time he gets in the country, it will be 11 months from start to finish
