My Philippine fiancee passed her physical and interview, but wasn't given her visa because she needed a police clearance from Bahrain.  Simple enough.  Not.  She was in Bahrain on a work visa and was a maid in a house where she lived.  As such, she was not given a residency permit.  Without a residency permit Bahrain won't issue a police clearance.  Its right in their on-line instructions.  So I've emailed the US Embassy in the Philippines explaining all of this.  I'll see what they say.  Wish they would hurry thou.  I would sure like my fiancee home for Christmas
