I may be posting this in the wrong place, because of the nature of the question.

I need to call and attempt to get the EAD/AP expedited for my wife. For those who have experience with this, should I could a Minneapolis number? How can I get through to the right person? Thanks.

I welcome anyone's thoughts and advice. Our situation is that my wife has become increasingly depressed after extended lockdowns, time away from family, inability to travel, and other problems related to cultural adaptation. She needs to get back to home country ASAP to stabilize mental health. As many of you know firsthand, this isn't a joking matter, but a serious struggle for her. Obviously, we can't afford to have her leave and lose our applications, so we are in between a rock and a hard place. As far as evidence that would satisfy the USCIS, her therapist is aware of the situation, but so far has declined to write anything for her because "she doesn't know what kind of letter she needs."

I may try taking her to a doctor regarding this if the therapist continues to be unwilling to give us a letter explaining the situation.

I am confused by your timeline. It looks like your wife has been here for 10 1/2 years? Is that correct?

We requested an expedited EAD/AP for my wife but it was for employment purposes. There is a process that does not involve anyone at the state level. She had a job offer and I had my salary reduced causing financial hardship and she was granted an expedited combo card after petitioning USCIS.

The confusion with the timeline is justified. I filed for a K-1 visa for my ex in that timeframe. The information on the timeline reflects that filing process. Unfortunately, I really need to be able to have a separate timeline, without wiping out the old one.

I see that the grounds for expediting include financial and also humanitarian reasons, but I haven't been able to find any accounts or explanations of the humanitarian reasons in order to know more specifics.

I think you can edit your timeline, no?

In any event, have you called USCIS Contact Center at (800) 375-5283 and requested an emergency advance parole? I don't know if they consider compromised mental health as an emergency but you would need pretty compelling evidence from her dr. I would think. My wife was terribly homesick and depressed her first several months (even up to her one-year mark) but we got through it. Hopefully, your spouse is on some good meds, sees her therapist regularly and the two of you have great communication. WhatsAp also got my wife though a lot of difficult times as well as meeting new friends and spending time with my family. She got her license after a year and a half and has a great job that keeps her busy and happy.

I understand and sympathize. Leaving everything and everyone to come to this country is not for the faint of heart. Good luck.

My wifes and our interview is next Monday, April 12th.

What shoukd we expect?

We do have everything ready...

For relationship evidence we have:

1. Warranty deed for the house.

2. Joint checking account statement.

3. IRS 2020 joint tax transcripts.

4. Copies of 4 joint credit cards.

5. Copies of shared Health insurance cards.

6. Car insurance with both our names.

7. Copy of home insurance with our names.

8. Cell phone bill with both our names.

9. Gas bill with our names.

10.  Anniversary hotel + gift receipts.

11.  Photos of family holiday gatherings.

We also set up a translator by phone for the interview, 60 minutes as my wife speaks Spanish and has limited English. She can understand and read Spanish fine, but needs more practice speaking it.

Again, what should we expect in the interview?

Received biometrics appointment, solid 9 months after application was received. I will update the exact dates later (End of October to End of July for letter, the appoint in August will make it about 9.5 months).

The letter references two case numbers:

I-485 AOS

I-765 EAD

Since we filed those two as a packet with others, including I-130 and AP, I was unsure why only two of the case numbers were referenced. What I have gathered, and I'm hoping is correct, is that the combined EAD and AP is pretty much a foregone conclusion after the biometrics appointment. Therefore, we are thinking that we should receive those within a few weeks after biometrics (even though it didn't say anything in the letter about AP), and later down the road there will be green card interview followed by green card. Does anyone know if I am understanding all of this correctly?

I485 and i765 are the only two applications that require biometrics,  that is why they're the only two referenced in thr notice

YMMV

The SSA is totally dropping the ball so we are still without so much as a driver's permit or bank account after a year of waiting.
