Not gonna lie, so long as I get my Combo card by around July/August (here's hoping since my PD is 01/27) then I'd prefer if my interview falls in the ~22 month range - that way I'd get my unconditional card.

Sooo first of all our lawyer didn't went with us because He told us that it will be very expensive for us because he charge by hour and he had to drive to another State and our case was very simple, soo he recommended to us a local lawyer that was going to cost us $500 just to be in the interview with us. We had our preparation appointment with our lawyer and was kind of how we need to prepare our evidence and talk about how was the "interview experience" in general also he made the arrangements with the other lawyer and one week before our interview we had a phone call with her just to touch base and be in the same page... As you can see in my profile we had to travel to Minneapolis sooo for us was a little stressful travel with all our originals docs and hopping dont have our appointment canceled because the weather... we arrived the day before and stayed in a hotel in downtown to be close to the building even when we took a hotel taxi to get there... our appointment was at 8:45 am and we arrived around 8:15 or 8:20 and passed trough security and wait for our interview lawyer, she arrived around 8:25 or so and then we went to do the "check-in" we didn't have a minute after the check-in when they call us in... our offical was very fast and focus in his job nothing about chating or anything he started make us swear and checking the I-130 with my husband and almost all the question was for him (He forgot our weeding date... just that was black Friday 🤣) but I just said the date , He also asked my husband my birth date but he was looking at me soooo I started to answer that and he stop me because that was a question for my husband... after that he made a few questions of "NO" in the form I-485, asked about my last entry and also asked about the medicals, then when he finish with that ask about evidence and we got A LOT! I give all that to our lawyer and he asked what kind of evidence we had there and she started saying... house papers, will, taxes 2018, w2 2018, bills, bank statements (2 different banks), work letter of my husband, photos, correspondence of family, etc... he asked about the house and just wanted those papers (the house is in both names but the loan is just in my husband name), he didn't want see anything else, by that moment he printed 3 letters and said... Oh wait I need to see the medicals... checked the medical and added to our file that and the house papers and one of the letters... give us one to us and one to our lawyer and said that I was recommended for approval and explain a little about the 2 years GC and said your lawyer is going to explain that too... thats it have any questions? and we said no, and said ok, have a good day...

we leave the immigration office around 8:45 am and when we was in the lobby talking with our lawyer she was impressed about how fast and with an approval in the spot, she said that in MN office is very usual that they separated the couples in handle the letter saying that our case was going to be under review (thats why she was is shock, also she said that was her 3rd time that week going to an interview and our was sooo fast and easy) we also asked about why he didnt wanted anything and she said sometimes they already know if they are going to approve or not a case and you cant force them to see you evidence because then can start wanted seeing everything... but anyways we was just waiting for an uber when my husband got the update message that our card was being produced....

Thanks everyone and I wish the best result to all of you 😀

Hello everyone.., still waiting for interview at the moment.. but I have some questions.., anyone here renewed their EAD/AP Combo Card yet? Gonna renew mine on May and I learned that when renewing, EAD and AP cannot be file together? Also, do we gonna pay another fee in renewing the EAD (base on pending AOS)? Or we don’t need to pay anymore but just submit the form? Which address should we send the EAD and AP? Any opinions will be much appreciated.

We are about to send the EAD/AP renewal for my spouse. The 180 day window opened on 02-01-19 but life got busy and we are sending both forms this week. You do not have to pay an additional fee. All you have to do is include a copy of your I-485 pendig I-797. I would make 2 copies and attach one to the I-765 and another one to the I-131.

Here are the two addresses for our category.

A few days ago we got a notice saying our interview had been scheduled and a letter is being sent. This notice came exactly 1 year after we sent the I485. Since the interview is usually 4-6 weeks out from the letter, I'm guessing our total time will be about 13 months from I485 receive date to interview date.

Thanks for the update, and good luck with the interview! 13-14 months isn't bad at all as long as it stays consistent for us all. 🤞

Did you ever hear back? The same thing just happened to me. Exactly 1 year later I got a status update that my interview has been scheduled. I just got a text message and online change, no notice via snail mail just yet. Is this some kinda auto thing they're doing or does this really mean something?

Anyone else can chime in how long you had to wait from the time you saw the online notice till you actually received the paper notice? How far out was the interview date from receiving the paper notice?

Hard to get excited about any of this knowing how tricky the whole process is.
