Hey guys! New member here.

my interview has been scheduled for February 4th.

do I need to redo my medical? I did send it in a sealed envelope with my vaccination record. But it has expired already.

I sent my AOS packet on Nov,2017 and my medical was valid through May, 2018.

Im super nervous as the date is getting close.

I was not asked for a new medical.  Medical date was March 6th 2017.  AOS submitted September 2017 and my interview was January 9th 2019.

they will consider the PD which is 08/2017

or Date of filing of I-485 which is 12/2018

I have to visit my family if my interview will take time I can think of travel

From what I have observed, it looks like they schedule your interview based on your I-485 PD. Every case is unique. However, that is what I have observed.

Thank you for dropping by! The thread has been quiet lately, though. Several folks have posted their interview dates. So hopefully, that will give you an idea of what dates they're interviewing.

Looked at your timeline and noticed that your city shows as Kansas City, MO, by the way. :)

My receipt date Oct 15, 2018 did my fingerprints on Nov 15, 2018 and the last update was fingerprint review complete on Nov 28,2018. I moved to ND in November so my field office is now MN St Paul office. Anybody know about when I should receive my EAD

Hi, it’s taking 4-6 months according to the USCIS website. My field office is MN as well. But I don’t think EAD/AP processing is tied to field office. I filed 8/31/18, fingerprints 10/03/18, still no EAD or AP it’s been about 4.5months. Add about 5mnths to your PD to estimate and if it comes earlier celebrate :) , good luck.

Hi BucketLists,

like Colorred said, EAD/AP processing occurs at the NBC. It is independent of your jurisdiction (field office). I should add that you may request to expedite your EAD/AP with a job offer or an emergent travel need.

In other words, you may start applying for jobs already. Employers may ask you "Will you now or in the future require sponsorship for employment authorization?". You would just answer "no", and that is the truth. Once you have the job offer (email/letter), you would just call USCIS and place a request to expedite. They will send you a letter requesting evidence to support your request. It will either be an email or a letter sent by mail.

You can also request assistance from your US Senator(s), Congressperson and/or Ombudsman. US Senator(s) are most effective.

Best,

USC4SPOUSE

137 days. PD 03-16-18, approved 07-31-18.

What does PD mean and was it 137 days from the day they received your application or 137 days from your fingerprint review was complete? I’m on 103 days since my application was received. Do you think I can start apply for jobs now?

03-16-18 Priority Date (seems to be the date the Chicago lockbox received it)

03-27-18 Received date (seems to be the date the NBC received it)

You can find your priority date on your I-485 Notice of Action I-797.
