After the interview how long does it usually take for the green card status online to update and then receiving the green card in hand?

Furthermore, I plan on getting another medical done before interview even though we filed within 12 months of first medical.  Should you only give the new medical if asked for? Have other VJers had a medical done and submitted at interview?

How soon you get your green card depends upon too many variables. Some people are approved on the spot, and will get the I-551 stamp from the ISO without much begging. Others wait a day, or months. Control what you are able to control. That's the best you can do. Focus on gathering concrete evidence of bona fide marriage.

I posted this a couple of times for you. I also sent you a message. It's possible you did not get it.

Did you try this place? I volunteered here in grad school. They serve the immigrant community. I am sure they do these medicals often.

I called around maybe 20 places lol. Found 3 that were decently priced.

Dr. Dean Tsukayama of Hennepin County Public Health Clinic charges $275 and includes everything, i.e. if they determine that you need some vaccines, that's included in the cost. Although not sure if they do QF Gold test for TB. Skin tests will most likely be positive, requiring xrays.

Dr. Henry Kerandi of MidPoint Medical Clinic charges $220 but vaccines and TB test are not included.

Forgot the 3rd one but it was $240 with nothing included. So if you need additional vaccines, they'd tack on more.

However, if you have a decent health insurance, immunizations and TB test are free.

Has anyone experienced how the St. Paul ASC is for walk-in biometrics? Are walk-ons frowned upon? How long is the wait usually? I'd like to go get it done sooner if it's allowed. I can go pretty much any time of the day. Thanks!

Sure, the biometrics appointment had been set for 04-18-18. We got the letter on 04-06-18, and it took 6 days of convincing to get my husband to attempt a walk-in. We got there around 11:40am, and sat in the car for a few minutes. Pretty soon after that we saw a group of people rushing in and decided to take our chances. He presented passport + letter. We sort of placed the passport open on top of the letter so that the front desk clerk could easily verify the name on passport + letter. The lady either didn't care that we were a few days early or simply wasn't looking for that. I presented my US passport card.  We got in without any issues. He took a number as if his appointment was for that date and time.

The entrance to the ASC is behind an Asian cuisine restaurant. Google maps will take you to the entrance of the restaurant. Just go to the back and you will see the entrance to the ASC.

I would just wait to enter when a few people are entering and you'll be fine. Doing a walk-in won't speed up the process with the NBC or MSP office. But if you just want to get that out of the way. Then, sure, go for it.

Good to know. Thank you for sharing your experience! Thank you also for the tips and directions to the building! I think I will give walk-in a try mainly because I can go and get it done (hopefully) at a day and time that works for me than on a day where I will most likely have to shift my work hours to go there.
