Immigrant Visa Processing Time

Once a visa is approved, and the passport is taken for processing, does anybody know what the typical processing time is at the US Embassy in Manila?  I have heard that it can take up to two weeks.  Is there a way to expedite it?

I don't believe you can really expedite it unless there are extenuating circumstances. It could take a couple of days to weeks, based on other people's experiences.

Typical is abt 2 weeks. Can be more so don't buy airline tickets till the visa is in your hands and you have reviewed it for errors.

 

You can save abt a week by having  it delivered to the 2go store at Mall of Asia in Manila.

About a week or 2 is typical, but there's no guaranteed timeline. Don't purchase tickets until it is in hand and looks good.

 

I'm unaware of any way to expedite it. Why does it need to be expedited?

Nope.  The processing is going to take as long as it takes.   It can be as quick as a couple days or take months.  Average is 10 business days.

25 July 2017 (Tue): NOA2 approval 

29 July 2017 (Sat) : NOA2 Approval notice received by mail

8 August 2017 (Tuesday): NVC case number received

14 May 2019: GREEN CARD ISSUED!!!

15 July 2022 - notice of biometrics being re-used

21 March 2023 - received 48month extension letter

22 February 2024 - received text/email that new card is being produced. No interview.
