I came in the Us last year with a B1/B2 visa  to attend to a conference, sent by my Organization.  Against all odds, I Found love and go married this year. Filled for my AOSmyself (huge mistake).

Now my case says I’m ready to be scheduled for interview soon. Problem is that, going through my application I realized that I forgot to mention my last occupanction in that Organization in some of the paperworks. Now I’m afraid it’s gonna be a big problem at the interview.

Should I hire an attorney now to help me with it, or just leave it like that. Since the interview is more focused on my marriage.

I’m desperate I don’t know what to do.

Being the fact that this is so important I personally would hire an attorney to make sure that all necessary answers have been answered properly and thoroughly. Best of luck!!

At the beginning of your interview, simply tell the IO that you need to update your application with information that you mistakenly omitted on the application before proceeding.  It won't be the first time someone went to an interview and had to tell the IO this.

It's not like you forgot to mention you were a serial killer with a long criminal history. ;)

There's nothing an attorney can do to help you at this point since you already sent the petition. It's possible that you will receive an RFE asking for the information, or you can explain it to the interviewing officer if it is brought up at the interview. Just be sure to bring documented proof.

If you are going through the visa process and will be interviewing in Casablanca, Morocco, join us over at the

I did ask an attorney, he told me I could do it on my own that it’s no big deal. And get so confident when i went to see him for the last review. Now I’m lost

Yes it’s not a long criminal record but I’m still scared. They could think I willingly mispresented it and get denied.

That's why you need to tell the IO *before* the actual interview begins...either right before or right after you are sworn in.
