Hello,

The US immigration recently revoked my B1/B2 and stamped my passport with a WD application for admission authority. "A 208 939 748 212 (a)(7)(a)(i)(I)

I am using my B1/B2 to enter the US. I am doing training before I board the ship because our systems is always upgrading. I also do pleasure as I am visiting friends. I even showed them my contract onboard the ship. They detained me the night. They even asked me to choose to be barred for 5 years or revoked my visa. One of the immigration officer told me that I can still get a new visa if I am stamped with WD. They also noticed that I have been entering the US Seattle twice a year for 5 years. The company was the one who managed to give me an apartment and pay for all my expenses while I am in the US.

I would like to confirm if I can still get another B1/B2 Visa? If I can still get another tourist visa, what is the duration to apply a new one? Please help me and hope to hear from you the soonest!

Thank you,

Taba

You certainly apply anytime you like.

I’m not clear on what your situation actually is.

If you’re working on a ship aren’t you supposed to have a crew visa, not a B?

is it the shipping company that provided you an apartment? And if so why for so long , if you have a shipboard contract? Or another company?

I’m pretty sure if you are doing business in the US you need a business visa and not a tourist one and that is probably why you were detained. If you are hired and paid for by a foreign company to do business in the US you need to be entering the US with a business visa. If you are hired and paid for by an American company then you need a work visa. It seems like the company you work for is the one to blame for this. You need to get things straightened out through your employer. You can always apply for a new tourist visa, but I don’t think your chances of getting one look good.

[In general.-Except as otherwise specifically provided in this Act, any immigrant at the time of application for admission-]
(I) who is not in possession of a valid unexpired immigrant visa, reentry permit, border crossing identification card, or other valid entry document required by this Act, and a valid unexpired passport, or other suitable travel document, or document of identity and nationality if such document is required under the regulations issued by the Attorney General under section 211(a)

In short, they suspected you of having immigrant intent and revoked your tourist visa, which does not permit this. You are free to apply again. However, it's quite unlikely, IMHO, that a CO would issue a new one after one was just recently revoked.
