IRS Transcriptions

Good Afternoon

What is the best way to request the IRS transcriptions? Is this a report of many pages or it only comes in one single page? Are we asked to send more than a year for verification purposes or is only the year is running when you submit the application? I just want to know since I was checking here in my local area and we only have an office so probably I would not go personally bc I believe it will be very crowded. Thank you.

Best is to request it online and mailed to your address. It is free. The number of pages depends on the taxpayer's tax returns, # of employers, etc. Usually it will be four pages for a single employer. You will be sent account info and tax transcript.

 

Best to send latest 3 years of tax transcript.

It's very simple to get them online, they only take a few minutes to download, or you can have them sent to your address.

It's usually recommended to submit the past 3 years of transcripts.

When I tried to check the transcript is asking me for a type. I was wondering what type of IRS transcript we need is by any chance this one ( Record of Account Transcript - combines the tax return and tax account transcripts above into one complete transcript. This transcript is available for the current tax year and returns processed during the prior three years using Get Transcript Online or Form 4506-T.) ????? Thank you.
