N-400 Newark/Mt Laurel New Jersey

Hi Guys. Just a little update and probably the last update as my journey with USCIS is over. I went for interview at Newark , New Jersey on 23rd June. It was very quick and pleasant experience and officer was very nice. My interview lasted for 20 minutes and officer gave me approval letter right away when my interview was finished and asked me to wait outside in lobby as they will prepare  Naturalization certificates. There were about 25 people like me waiting for certificates and ceremony to be held. Our ceremony was conducted after 1 hour wait and it was smooth and no issues whatsoever…. 

Application date: 23rd July, 2020

Bio Reuse notice: 12th Feb, 2021

Interview Notice: 7th May, 2021

Interview Date: 23rd June, 2021

Oath Ceremony: 23rd June, 2021( Naturalized Citizen)

Congratulations, I am also from NJ, but my field office will be Mt Laurel NJ, Do you know how many cases they will be handling in a day, based on the crowd in the office? Any idea if you were able to interact with other n400 applicants there? what were their application filing date?

Just an update that i am still waiting for any status change. My wife's Interview  date is July 29.  From Lawfully forum, users with PD in July and August also got interviews too. Looks like Newark is now working on Mar-Aug 2020 cases but too random.

Finally My Status also changed to "Interview Was Scheduled"  My Interview is schedule for Aug 19 Newark NJ office.

App Submitted online: August 31 2020 (Newark, NJ)

Wife's Interview date 29 July.

Hi all,

 

I am awaiting scheduling of oath ceremony.  My N400 interview was at Newark office. I was able to get into the office around 1 pm. My interview was scheduled for 1.45pm but the interview started at 3.20pm and was completed in 20 minutes. The could not do same day oath as it was one hour after cutoff time.

 

June 30, 2021 Oath Ceremony Cancelled

June 30, 2021 Your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, was placed in line for oath ceremony scheduling.

June 30, 2021 We recommended that your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, be approved. Your case was submitted for quality review.

May 14, 2021 We scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization.

February 12, 2021 Biometric Reuse

August 6, 2020 We received your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, and mailed you a receipt notice.

Quick question, if your interview is 1:45pm at Newark, is there any way they’d do same day oath?

Reading other experiences on the forum I'd say there is a possibility. It can go either way depending how long your interview takes, and if there are any delays. 

 

When did you file, and receive your interview notice?

I filed August 30th 2020 and have an interview on July 14th!

That's awesome, quick to! If you have the oath the same day, it would be even better. 

 

I really feel I missed the train waiting on a interview notice, seems most people are around 280 days from filling  until they get a scheduled notice, I'm pushing 300 days almost.

I'm approaching 13 months since we filed for N400.  Received biometrics reuse notice on February 12.  I did call USCIS about a month ago, and they did confirm an interview has been requested but of course, this is where the wait is.  Hang in there!

I just got back from Newark, 01:45 slot, and got same day oath! (interview was around 02:30, and oath around 03:30). Extremely pleasant people with super chill interview.

Application date: 14th July, 2020 (NEW YORK)

Move: October 2020, to NJ, transferred case - Nov, confirmation of case transfer to Newark.
