Hi everyone, so I got a RFE a few days ago for my H1B application. My attorney is working on it but I am just worried it will delay my case by several months. I've been waiting to start my new job since September.. From what I found online, people say a RFE can delay a case by 1 month to 6 months? The stats are from a few years ago before Trump's administration for other visa categories, I know lots of people got RFEs this year, I heard some of them got rejected after first RFEs. so I am getting really worried. It'd be great to hear some of your experiences! Thank you!

RFE's normally come with a deadline. At least that amount of time plus however long they take to review it.

I've had a three month deadline and then a one month deadline for my RFEs. I also had premium processing so I was guaranteed a response within 15 days but I don't believe you can get that on an H1B anymore.

When did you submit your first RFE response? Most people seem to respond in the last minute because they believe there's a higher chance to get approved that way. How long did they take to review your first RFE response? Also best of luck with the second RFE!

Please see my timeline. It's all in there.

I'm scheduled for interview currently. Well past all the pain point ;)
