News on USCIS transition to ELIS

Apologies if this pertains more to immigration news than US Citizenship. I just thought that the article would have more relevance in this sub as it relates to USCIS transitioning towards ELIS for all N400 applications.

Based on the article below, it seems that the new transition to digital application has been causing some delays in adjudicating cases. It might give partial reason to why there is such a backlog (7-12 months) at some FOs for naturalization.

thanks for sharing this news.  it's well known that the USCIS computer and service management system is way falling behind the current trend. it's less efficient. the staff officers in the filed office are lacking comprehensive training ,knowledges.

Just curious,  do you need at least a bachelor or associate degree to be an immigration case officer ?

back to this news, it surprised me that " USCIS gets approximately 84,000 N-400 naturalization applications per month".....84K per month X 12 =1 million/ Year ! .... it's better to see how much N400 approval average per month...

ATTENTION!!!   Minneapolis N400 filers,  please use the link below to review others or update your status .!  Changes will be saved automatically. Best luck to all of us!

Here's a link to the data set for N400 applications. You can see the stats for applications received, approved, denied and pending. It shows national total as well as by state.
