Anyone have a scan or know what to look for via the USPS digest of delivered mail?  Are we stuck waiting on a paper document (discounting our ability to pick up a phone)?

Those in the March or April filers’ threads who have received their NVC numbers may be able to help with this question.

NOA2 December 19th checking in. My NOA2 is two weeks old today.

Glad to have found this thread but boy is it ever discouraging to be facing another 2-3 or possibly even 4 month wait.

So we're looking at around 2 months for the file to even get to the NVC now.

Then another 1-2 weeks for the NVC to process it/send it to the embassy.

Followed by another, say, 4-6 week wait for an appointment at the embassy.

And the NOA2s are all set to expire in 16 weeks from the date of issue.

Wanted to say thanks to everyone posting in here. My NOA2 was 22 NOV 2017 and just passed the 6-week window. It's really comforting to find this support during this time. Thanks again.

Please let us know what happens if you make an official inquiry and put yourself on the list if you haven’t already done so🙂

Must be done from a pc or laptop.

I know that the receiving time for NVC is about 8 weeks right now. Besides calling, is there any other way that we will know that NVC has assigned a case number? Do they send out notifications by mail or do you have to call? I mean, I am all for calling and pestering them, but I'm also okay with waiting until we receive a letter..if that is the case. Any insight on this?

FOR THOSE WHO KNOW THEIR NOA2 SHIP DATE TO NVC

could you please @ me?

Im looking for trends on when they send their shipments because I do know they send in bulk.

So based on when USCIS told you it was sent and based on when NVC said it should be there, maybe we can determine a rough estimate for when they ship?..

ie: approvals 1st through 14th get shipped on the 15th and 15th to the end of the month get shipped the 1st of the following month...

@AZSunshine78

Good Afternoon. Some updates for you:

  • Just called NVC. Petition was received.
  • No case # assigned. Was told between today - 24 JAN will be generated.
  • Inputted info into spreadsheet.
  • Official inquiry made last FRI but now moot.

Most importantly, thank you.  I found my way to the other discussion. I truly hope you will get word soon. I believe you will.

Hello, we called NVCand got our case number.

Officer said they received our case last JAN 17 from USCIS, and scanned all paperwork. Our case number was ready last Friday, but we only got the chance today, Jan 22 Monday. The Officer gave us our case number, but no email or letter yet for my fiancee. I checked our status at ceac, and it showed AT NVC, what does it mean?

There are four types of status before you received P3.

At NVC - NVC is processing (no date showing)

In transit - NVC sending case to embassy (I didn't even see that page)

Ready - Embassy received case (date updated everyday until AP)

AP - Embassy sending P3 to you (when date stopped updating, P3 is coming to you soon)

My case number created last Friday too. I checked status today is "Ready".

Good luck!

I'm not sure if every country is different.

As I know, DS160 should be submitted after you received P3 package.

After that embassy/consulate will send you letter for schedule the interview.

Hello, done with our DS 160s (k1 and 2 K2s/derivatives), we'll have our medical next week.

Interview fees or what we call MRV to be paid this week. I believe only after paying, you can schedule your interview.

All things well, our intended flight is end of March just so our 2 K2s will finish their current academic year.
