So what are the NVC wait times looking like?

People from 10/26 are still waiting for their case to reach NVC currently at 48 days and counting.

Hey guys. I have a question.

we just got our NOA2 notice in the mail and it states:

The above petition has been approved and forwarded to the listed consulate.

Please contact the consulate with any questions you might have (...) etc.

theres no word of NVC. Is that normal? I don’t understand. I thought uscis would send it to NVC and they would send it to the consulate.

Can anybody explain?

@gomeze87 got a similar NOA2 correspondence. He mentioned that he believes it’s because the beneficiary has held a different visa previously. Hopefully, he’ll chime in and give you more information.

Thank! Hoping for more info. We all know calling USCIS is not going to bring us anywhere. They give 0 information and most of it is absolutely false.

I just looked at my NOA2 and it's the same, no mention at all of the NVC. My fiancée has never been to the US.

Oh maybe this is the reason why some represintative from nvc ask  what was written in my NOA2 maybe they know that some cases are sent directly to consulate?... not sure anyway lol

I called USCIS and they told me all petitions get sent to NVC, i asked why does it say consulate, but she couldnt give me a straight answer, she just insisted it goes to NVC. As of right now she said they will open a case on my behalf and investigate where did they really send my case too. Once i get an update i will let you know. This happened yeterday. Ill keep ya posted

It's normal language. You can do a search here and see that for yourself.

Anyone have a scan or know what to look for via the USPS digest of delivered mail?  Are we stuck waiting on a paper document (discounting our ability to pick up a phone)?
