If your feelings are hurt from what you're reading on a forum, why be on a forum? Especially where the TOS states do not tell someone they can't or shouldn't post.

You need to get a thicker skin or this forum isn't for you my dear (probably not the internet or anything outside the door of your home). Life is tough.

Just felt bad for OP.  This process is very difficult for most of us.  Guess I'm just compassionate and empathetic.  Some aren't.  Such is life.  You have a nice day

Hello everyone,

My husband is Syrian. Had his interview on Feb 20th. We've been on Administrative Processing since then. Not sure what happens now after the Supreme Court ruling to uphold the travel ban. I really don't know if we're going to keep waiting indefinitely and if they will deny the visa after all the waiting.

I heard a lawyer say that anyone without a greencard from the banned countries can't enter the U.S. now. I'm not sure if that's true though...

I'm lost.

First, I am hearing that most people subject to the ban are put in AP, just like you. I have also heard that a number of people who are previously denied, their status changed from denied to AP. So that is a good sign. Waivers are excruciatingly slow, but they are coming. There are 800 so far. The number is increasing by 100 a month. Still only 2% of all applications have received a waiver. Not sure how many of those were actually eligible for a waiver, but the point is that waivers are happening. I spoke to a lawyer who has 150 pending waiver, 3 approved waiver.

Finally, there are 2 court cases to watch that will shed some light on waivers that I have documented here:

This are hard, but dont lose hope. We dont have any other option other than to wait. We'll have to learn to live without our kids and spouses for as long as it takes.

Allow me to disagree with you, but we do have a choice to look for another country to immegrate to as a family. Because we can't allow law or anything else to separate us.

Waiting is cool when the path we are taking is guaranteed, but, personally, I see it as a waste of time when all other commenters weren't granted the visa.

I don't mean to be rude I know you are having a good message that is don't lose hope. I agree with you but I see hope can come in another shape sometimes.

My wishes to you and all of us to be able to live with our families and loved ones soon.

Problem is, some of us (like my family) don't have any other options. Syrians can't get visas anywhere right now.

Organizations like ACLU, AILA, CCR Justice, and many more have the resources to advocate on our behalf. They are our best chance at getting a resolution.

In this thread i have posted a few links on these organizations that are collecting information about people waiting on waivers. Fill it out, and request others in similar situation do the same.

I am Syrian too, we are looking for options where my husband can get a residency (work or study) and then sponsor me for a spouse visa. a lot of countries will allow a resident to bring their spouse. Most of the times work residents have higher chances than students. Hope this will help you :)

Perhaps the ordinary cirizens might wish to consider the regieme they have elected?

I don't find this a laughing matter. It is not fair to hold an entire country's regime against them. My brother-in-law and fiancé escaped this regime because they left Islam for Christianity. They have been threatened with jail time and worse if they return and there are many many more like them still stuck there.  Yes, there are extremists there who support the regime, but the vast majority do not. If you do not agree with this petition, you certainly do not have to sign it, nor make snide comments that others on here who are very concerned about this ban can read. It is not helpful.
