Hello everyone. I'm here to get some insight. I just saw my fiancée in his home country and im now back in the US. My question is; What will they ask for in terms of employment verification? W2s (taxes) or like your last few paystubs? Just wondering. Anyhow... August 2017 filers and all filers, crossing fingers that our time comes quick!

You will need to provide at least the most recent tax year's income tax return (2016 as of this typing, but will probably 2017 by the time your I-134 is needed). The simplest way to do so is via an IRS tax transcript, which can be obtained online: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript. If you don't send a transcript, you should send all W2s/1099s + the 1040.

 

You should also provide a letter from your employer (on their letterhead) stating your current employment status, rate, and starting date. You should also provide pay stubs.

 

If you qualify using income, then you can skip the assets part of things.

10/24/18: Green card produced notice, 10/25/18: Formal approval, 10/31/18: Green card received
