I just realized reading this forum... that I never put my college addresses down on my G-325A.. 2 years worth... I guess i was just trying to block that time period out of my mind also.. i did leave time Gaps in on my jobs.. bc i was in college.. great... and on his employment.. we typed it all out and then wrote a one liner at the bottom saying.. "All gaps in employment were unemployment due to student visa requirements"... don't know yet how they will take it.. we'll see if we get an RFE

I think this is a case where your education hurts you! They try to write these forms at a suuuuper basic level. But I think they kind of underestimate the general public's ability to read. If you gave that instruction to a 5th grader, they'd do what it said. But since you've gone to school, you read it and (rightly) start trying to analyze it for additional information. That's something that serves people well in almost all areas of life EXCEPT government forms I think. Ironic, no?

5th graders rarely retain 2 addresses at the same time, so it'd be easier for them! In this case, the instructions aren't at all clear, and its not a matter of over-analyzation, its a matter of vagueness on their part. Honestly, for me its been terribly confusing filling out any sort of form unless it qualifies whether they want a permenant or residential or mailing address. Even on the I-129F I didn't know what to put because I am a student in Canada but my permanent address is in the US. On the form itself I wrote my Canadian address, and then was unsure and decided to make an attachment explaining my living situation and giving them my US address as well. Its a good thing I did, because the NOA1 went to my parents house in the US. If they wanted a US address, they should have said so though.

And for the G-125A, if they only want permanent addresses then they should say so and save us some work... if they want to know where we were living each day of our life, then they should say that and keep us from having to guess. Oh well, nothing we can do... but if I designed the forms, things would be different. :)

If they will fit, I would just put them both on one sheet. But it doesn't make a difference, I'm sure. Save a tree. :)

hi guys. i have some questions while we're filling up electronically in pdf format the forms I-129F and G-325A.

In Form I-129F, in part A, there's the box for answering the question on the country on which the petitioner was born. my fiance was born in the philippines however, the spaces in the box are not enough to include all the letters of the word PHILIPPINES. so, it's only spelled as PHILIPPINE but with a "+" sign at the right bottom part of it. This is also the same with my address as the beneficiary. The spaces in the box for my street address are not enough to fully print my whole street address. so, the last part of it also includes the "+" sign.

so, my question is, do you think it's ok for the USCIS that we print these documents and submit it to them? i don't know if it's understood already from them that the address was really long so maybe it's ok to submit that document.

though, at the second part of part B, my complete address is listed there, so they will still get my complete address.

thanks. hope you can help me.

mrsV,

Your question really would be better submitted as a new post rather than as a reply in this thread. Your question is a complete change of topic.
