Hello VJ family,

I have an aunt that was approved for a tourist visa and she came to the United States and she felt very sick and we took her to the doctor and we found out that she has Stage 4 Cancer and is there anything my family can do about AOS or something where she can stay to get treatment because we are on a time crunch she has leave by April 8, 2018.

Her travel insurer will no doubt want to repatriate here asap to mitigate the horrendous US medical costs.

US is not a good place to be if you are sick.

I don’t know if she has travel insurance..... Trust me I know we have paid almost $10,000 just to get her seen by a doctor, biopsy, and pain medication.

You know $10k is chump change for this sort of thing, apart from anything else how much does the family have to spend?

Not much else because her treatment alone is about $55k I believe the quoted price

From my family experience not sure how a figure can be quoted, OK we did not have the US issues, but never thought the treatment required could be that specified.

Well I wasn’t there this is hearing it 3rd party but I just feel like something doesn’t sound right and I was wondering since my parents are USC that they probably help but my aunt going back to Haiti is a death sentence

Thank you for the advice I will let them know

Well legally she can not stay here in the USA or AOS. It is sad to say that but it's the truth.
