You're right about one thing. If "the hell he put me through" and "I just can't go back there again" and "I was a complete wreck" and "I was a puddle on the floor" ( and on and on and on) is tongue in cheek in your incessant overwrought rants, then it is lost. And I certainly hope that these little "jokes" of yours aren't meant to intentionally insult people who are ill and actually truly struggle with these kinds of feelings. Here's my theory, for what it's worth....I think that some people just have a lot of pent up anger/stress and they see the internet message boards as an outlet to just let go and say things that they would never fathom (I would hope) to say if in person.

When they're done, they feel better, turn the computer off and go home and are quite pleasant I'm sure.

Thing is though, some people who aren't as thick skinned as others are left with hurt feelings.

I agree, doodle. However, even in "real" life I'm the kind of person who tells it like it is. I don't sugarcoat. Sometimes it comes off as rude or bitchy. I just prefer honesty even if that honesty is hard to swallow.

Maybe others have online personas that aren't true to their real selves, but I am honest wherever I am, online or in real life, and it has nothing to do with pent up anger, I'm actually rarely angry as a matter of fact.

I handled a lot of things because Mohammed is VERY headstrong about things like this, but tends to be pretty clueless and goes chugging along like a major train wreck. He's kind of a country guy without a lot of experience outside of Egypt. You have no idea the hell he put me through when he travelled. He refused to listen to any information from me about what he needed to do and just had himself a great big huge adventure, no bloody phone calls except for a few fleeting seconds on borrowed cell phones, 2 missed flights, (oh god I could tell more but just can't go back there again) he had no clue what he was doing and I was a complete wreck because I felt responsible for him. No, my husband is not retarded or a child. He just has a way of doing things that can make life........... erm............ *interesting* sometimes (remember the bike down the freeway????). If some of the people on here attempt to help their SOs, maybe there are possibly other reasons then mere "molly-coddling".

Whatever the reason, you'll stay a lot more sane through the visa process once you delegate tasks to your fiancé or spouse and then let him deal with it. Nothing wrong with helping out, but half the petition is his, so if the visa's eating up your life, make it eat up some of this, too.

But what does this have to do with you? Why do you have to be a wreck? He travels like this, you know it, he's fine with it, if he's not retarded or a child, then why do you act this way?

Because she LOVES him and is WORRIED about him out of LOVE. He's NEVER travelled outside of Egypt before. Why is this such a hard concept to understand?? It's called compassion for another human being that you care about! My parents are competent too as is any other member of my family who is an adult but I'd still be worried about them when they travel to a foreign country and I'd help them anyway I could.

My Fiance uses this account as well as myself here, she thought it would of interest to those that are in Egypt right now going through this same thing and how to do it and what all she did to get this accomplished. I am not there to possibly help her out in dealing with paperwork and what all to go through. So she is not codling or pampering me in any stretch of the imagination. She likes to be able to help others and this was no exception.
