I don't want to make waves or stir the waters, but if you guys knew Moh... I handled a lot of things because Mohammed is VERY headstrong about things like this, but tends to be pretty clueless and goes chugging along like a major train wreck. He's kind of a country guy without a lot of experience outside of Egypt. You have no idea the hell he put me through when he travelled. He refused to listen to any information from me about what he needed to do and just had himself a great big huge adventure, no bloody phone calls except for a few fleeting seconds on borrowed cell phones, 2 missed flights, (oh god I could tell more but just can't go back there again) he had no clue what he was doing and I was a complete wreck because I felt responsible for him. No, my husband is not retarded or a child. He just has a way of doing things that can make life........... erm............ *interesting* sometimes (remember the bike down the freeway????). If some of the people on here attempt to help their SOs, maybe there are possibly other reasons then mere "molly-coddling".

But what does this have to do with you? Why do you have to be a wreck? He travels like this, you know it, he's fine with it, if he's not retarded or a child, then why do you act this way?

Because she LOVES him and is WORRIED about him out of LOVE. He's NEVER travelled outside of Egypt before. Why is this such a hard concept to understand?? It's called compassion for another human being that you care about! My parents are competent too as is any other member of my family who is an adult but I'd still be worried about them when they travel to a foreign country and I'd help them anyway I could.

Doodle, if your husband is so insulted by gestures of help, how do you think he'd feel if he knew you were here trying to pander info for him? I'm thinking that may piss him off.

I'm not pandering for my husband one iota. I'm trying to defend a new visa journey member who came in here and took the time to post some information that might be helpful to the members here but instead got shot down and most likely will never do another kind thing on here again because he got rammed from the start.

How many of your husbands know how to cook, but you actually make dinner out of LOVE for them because it's just a nice thing to do????

If either of us is cooking, we don't make double because we LOVE each other, we do it because that's what you do. If anyone else was here at dinner time, they'd be included, too.

It's disturbing to me that doing chores is and indication of love.

It's equally if not more disturbing to me that cooking a nice meal for your husband is considered a chore.

You're kidding, right? Chores are things you do around the house, laundry, cutting the grass, making dinner. No one is talking about making a birthday cake, we're talking about daily chores. It's what's done. Every night isn't a fukcing nice meal, and you know it.

Why are you lying now, Doodle? How many times have you posted what the girls want for dinner and it's drive thru something or other?

When kids do chores, is it out of love? When you make dinner for the kids, is it out of love? Sure, you love them, but routine things are what is done, don't tell me when you're late, kids are fighting, hungry, you're all flowers and butterflies boiling up some pasta really quick.

Is using a new fabric softener an act of love?

Apparently we're never going to agree on this. Yes everything I do is out of love for my children and for my husband. It's human nature...or so I thought. I guess if I were a non feeling machine then I would just routinely do everything for them and not give a fk about how it will effect them or if they will like it or not. Im not like that though. Even if we do go through the drive thru on nights where they have softball practice (something I take them to out of love because they like it and it's healthy for them) I don't just order up anything on the menu I ask them what they want and make sure that they like it. I want them to like it because I love them.

Whatever. It's a mute point becuase we're always going to disagree and who knows why, maybe we're just wired differently. You said yourself you don't like kids so there ya go. I personally can't even fathom not liking children.

Yes I've always actually wanted to be a kindergarden teacher but my parents wouldn't pay for me to go to college if that were my major because it wasn't a big money maker. I totally regret that in some ways. Whenever I'd drop them off to daycare I'd be so jealous of the workers there, especially the ones in the toddler rooms!!!

Not it's not a bad thing but I think it's just a different make up of person. Like some are dog lovers and some are cat lovers. Just what makes the world go around and is probably why some on here have such differening of opinions.

I can't imagine being a child care worker or teacher of young children. I have such low tolerance for them. I like other ppl's children in small dosages. My gf has 3 neices and nephews (4 yr old twins and a 5 year old). They are so cute but after about an hour with them, I gotta go.

You're right about one thing. If "the hell he put me through" and "I just can't go back there again" and "I was a complete wreck" and "I was a puddle on the floor" ( and on and on and on) is tongue in cheek in your incessant overwrought rants, then it is lost. And I certainly hope that these little "jokes" of yours aren't meant to intentionally insult people who are ill and actually truly struggle with these kinds of feelings. The only thing I can figure is your reality consists of you reveling in being a wreck, since nothing ever changes.
