Incorrect Green Card

My I-485 was filed under EB-3 in 2007 when dates were accidentally current.

My Priority Date is March 2007 - India.

I received an RFE for my wife & I in June 2017; we responded to that in July.

As of August 24 2017; our 485 has been approved.

In my opinion this is not right as our PD is not current.

We have returned the green cards to USCIS TSC.

They rejected our EAD/AP stating that this is not required as we are already in LPR; but approved H1/H4.

This is really frustrating and confusing.

Any advise on this?
