Trent Franks Resigns From Congress

Trent Franks, Republican from Arizona has announced his resignation after a new ethics investigation was launched into his behavior involving the sexual harassment of female staffers.

Today it came to light that he offered his staffers $5 million if he could sleep with them and carry his children. If that isn't gross enough, his strange 'non apology' letter, implied he's done this sort of thing before to have kids....

When he's talking about surrogacy, he's not meaning the typical method we would think of a couple that couldn't conceive doing this through IVF... he's literally talking about sleeping with other women. https://www.politico.com/story/2017/12/08/trent-franks-sex-surrogacy-impregnate-287808

Some stories have also circulated on social media that he would often stalk out women in the House Cloakroom and his behavior has been around at least since 2012...

His 2012 Senate bid ended abruptly

Franks was all set to run for the U.S. Senate in 2012 until suddenly, he wasn't. Multiple people have told me that his after-hours activities caught up to him.

"I know there was a file," one Republican consultant told me. "The information was there to be had, and it was shared with him, so he walked away from the race."

Another told me that Franks wrote creepy text messages a decade ago to a Republican operative - texts that never came to light. https://www.azcentral.com/story/opinion/op-ed/laurieroberts/2017/12/07/roberts-first-franken-resigns-and-now-franks/932874001/

I think this has got to be one of the most ickiest stories yet... and I'm hearing that there may be 20-30 more representatives to go...
