Hey guys, I keep on getting this annoying you won an iPhone popups that redirect me away from visa journey and then I can only get rid of them by closing the browser tab and opening a new one.

This only happens on mobile devices such as my cell phone and my tablet and it doesn’t happen on my Mac. I don’t think I have a virus because this only happens on visa journey all other websites are fine.

Attached screenshots. The first one is the popup that comes up and then when you click ok on it to make it go away it it redirects to that other page wi5h the iPhones and no matter how many times I click on “back” it will never go back to visajourney it keeps returning to that same spam page :/ extremely annoying.

I’ve had the same thing happened to me. I downloaded Adblock from the App Store and haven’t had this problem since. You should try it.

We are actively working the issue.  We are both talking to our ad agencies to track down the advertiser and also installing a filtering mechanism on our end to try and catch what they don't.  This is not a virus on your phone.  It's a major issue industry wide and most sites end up with a network that sends bad apple advertisers from time to time.

The spam seems targeted at iPhones and folks using safari.  An immediate fix is to use google chrome which is immune to this issue (the ad takes advantage of a safari bug).  Try installing that on your iphone.  I will update once we know more -- trust me that I'm working on this night and day.  If you are into the technical issue, here is a good thread.  https://github.com/prebid/Prebid.js/issues/927

We have a new filtering service installed to block these issues. We installed it last night. Have you seen anything improve?

I rarely use my iPad but I have got several of these popups in the last couple of days with a "win an iPhone X popup". I am still on IOS 10, not sure if that may be a contributing issue. Anyways I'll try chrome out and see if that helps.
