Did you give an explanation for the overstay or did you just leave it blank? Also, what did you put for "current immigration status"? 

Just "Overstayed" because also we send our I94 that is a visitor permisson with expired date :)

 @KLgirl someone told me to put vwp expired as i overstayed the esta (visa waiver programme). sogood luck :) you could put whatever visa you came on and 'expired'.. or even just overstayed i think should be fine.

someone else on here told me just to leave it blank because they will ask you about that at the interview anyway. and they'll see from your records that you overstayed

Hi there, I did refer to it in the additional information and stated that I had violated it as had overstayed.

i would add the additional info just to be on the safe side. i was trying to find the thread where i had asked someone about this but i couldnt find it. @KLgirl
