Hi Guys!!

Today i got the approval for my 485/Green card. Two days after i send in my new medicals. Thanks a lot for your support. I am out of here and hope to never have to lurk again in these forums. I wish every one the best.

HI ALL, need advice. Got a RFE / I601. 

I lived in England before moving to the USA. Hence we have different meaning to words and statements. I stated under marital status that I was under common law partnership/marriage which means (at least in UK) that I cohabit with a woman and not legally married hence we have share benefits etc. 

Now that is affecting me here cos apparently it means one is legally married. I was never legally married until I got here. So USCIS wants me to convince them with evidence. I have none as I was never married before I married my wife here. Can someone please respond with advice? Thanks

UK term is Cohabitating Partner. UK does not have common law marriage.

 

What exactly did you say you were.
