Hello, i filed for a 601 waiver from within the united states for a pending 485 application on June 30,2017. My 601 was send to the NBC from the lockbox in Chicago, IL. Does anyone know how long in country 601(not 601-A) waivers are taking?

Right now it is taking anywhere from 12-15months.  I submitted for my spouse since December 2016 and still waiting for the approval letter.  Last approval i know of was from someone on VJ who submitted November 2016 and just the got approval letter Last week (January 12, 2018).

Franco, Was your Wife's case an incountry 601 waiver as well? Which local office in the United States did your 601 waiver go to? Was it somewhere in Texas? My waiver went to chicago and there are no timelines for a waiver posted for local USCIS office. I am thinking the local offices will go by the 485 processing dates since 601 waiver is for the pending 485. Any thoughts??

Yes her case was submitted here in the U.S..... I submitted it through the Phoenix lockbox and it was forwarded to Nebraska which is the central processing center for all I-601 cases since 2012.

So if you submitted I-601 here in the United States, you should be looking at the updates from Nebraska field office.

My lawyer was saying that it goes to same officer in the local USCIS who interviewed me for the adjustment of status. See here:

That shows the NBC address.

That is correct. But notice the approval POE: SanFrancisco local office.

Mine is similar. My 601, 485 all start with MSC. I sent my 601 to the chicago lockbox, from chicago it went to MSC(NBC) and according to my lawyer from NBC it will be routed to my local USCIS office which is CHicago,IL.

Are you filing the waiver for someone here in the United States or outside of the United states?

Solo I 212's are done by the PoE, perhaps that is what he is thinking of.

My waiver 601 was filed from within the US and i am currently in the US. It is a misrepresentation waiver and i was asked to file for the waiver during the 485 interview in chicago,IL.

Your case is different from the Normal Inadmissibility of someone who overstayed and voluntarily left the U.S to file the I-601. so i am not sure the office that will be handling your case. You can call the 1800# or schedule an infopass visit and USCIS will tell you the exact field or local office handling your case.

This link provides the addresses to file I-601 and then i think they send the cases to a field office after receiving it.
