This is making my heart melt...I absolutely admire your positivity!!!!!! Based on my observations, December 2017 must be one of the most calm and supportive K1 group on VJ so far. I have been umemployed for 3 months now but my new job is starting next week! I'm so happy I got this one thing out of my way, which means I should have no problem providing evidence for affidavit of support. Soon I will actually be busy working and looking for apartments, and lesser time spent dwelling on NOA2, which to be honest I feel we have VERY little control over no matter how much we obsess over it even though we can't really help it...However, don't get too caught up with K1 that you neglect other aspects in your life, like your health, family, and friends! I'm also grateful summer is around the corner, the summer vibes definitely helps keeping me upbeat!

Good luck with the new job.  I am sure you will do great at it.

I'm hoping for a September POE I still have so much to do before he comes. When I left China in July it felt like I had so much time. Now seems like everything is happening so fast. We are both very excited and Oscar is now brushing up on his English. Is there anyone else whose fiance doesn't speak English?

My fiance's English is okay but not great.  Some of his pronunciation is off and he doesn't handle slang very well.  One of the things he wants to do once he gets here and were waiting on all the change of status papers to go thru is practice his English.  Luckly I live near a good college that handles a lot of foreign exchange students so they should have some ESL resources available to help.

Yea same here. I think once he gets here it will be much easier to catch on. We  owned a western restaurant in China so he was starting to improve but once I left seems so did his English haha.while I'm over here stressing he is very cool. He feels well if I don't get it then you will just come back to China.

I have to laugh because we are in opposite positions.  I am the relevantly calm, cool and collected one while he is stressing about how he is going to improve his English skills, worried about finding a job, and worried about driving here in America (to be fair he hates driving in China and only does it when he has too).  I am the one who keeps telling him that it will be okay.  That we will figure it all out and make it work.

Yeap! My fiance doesn't! And to make things more difficult we're in a very Hispanic area (and my family speaks that only) so he'll have to learn Spanish as well.

Hm guys, I'm wondering how November will procede! They've really concentrated on the latter half of the month up until the 27th and they've now touched the first three days as well. Technically, only 7 days of November remain untouched. I wonder (hopeful wondering) if they go through the rest of 7 days in the next 2 week, December can actually start during May!! *Crossing fingers*

Still, I'm glad they're kicking things up in November and that they're getting their much awaited approvals. There are many people left but we know that USCIS goes ahead with the months and leaves many people waiting behind.

Sorry guys I'm going to ask a silly question. I see some people talk about a scan 500 per day. Does it mean there is 500 approval per day or how does this work because with Daniel P scan I only see approvals under a 100 per day.

I am super happy to see approval raining in. Let's keep our fingers crossed that they will touch December soon.

No such thing as a silly question. 😉

In the uscis tracker app you can run a scan of 500 cases following a certain number. We call that a mini scan. I ran a miniscan yesterday of the first 500 cases after the first November case and saw about 7 approvals in 1st 2nd and 3rd of November. So it's not going to be 500 cases toucheda day but we look at 500 cases to see how many were touched. Hope that makes sense.

Driven, danielp and Naes do the big scans. They use a program developed by a vj'er to scan multiple miniscans at a time an scanning the whole month that way.

On Igor's list, someone with a NOA1 of December 1, updated their timeline that they got their NOA2 on May 11. Do you think they're starting to touch December? I don't know if anyone did a scan of December applications. I only scanned around my NOA1 of December 14 and didn't see any movement.

I think it's a late November filer if I'm not wrong because they didn't even touch some early filers yet. It's gonna be a while until they start December as how are doing things lately.

They've already started touching the early filers (Nov. 1,2,3) as of yesterday. Right now only 7 days of November haven't been touched at all. I would hope that this means it won't be too long until the start December. Perhaps in a couple of weeks if they keep the rate up.

Ok, there is definitely a 12/1 approval now coming up that looks legit (?). I'm a 12/1 too and I am sooo nervous and excited!! I know it could still be long time but its still pretty cool to see that on the list. Back to cleaning out my spare room so I can convert it to my honeys office. It takes my mind off all this approval madness lol lol.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend :-)
