i wonder if any of the couples will appear on the new season of 90 days - did any of them get (or stay engaged) long enough to apply for the K1? If so, did they get approved? Can't wait for the new season

My fiance just recieved the hard copy of NOA1 today, (recieved the email confirmation on the 29th)

 

MyUSCIS is still showing as "My Case Status does not recognize the receipt number entered."  

 

So I guess it's not in their system yet.

To follow-up with Katrina Roa's post about the receipt number not tracking.  I was having a similar issue but I tried it today and it says that my case has been received.  I was curious if I should be counting from the date they have listed as receiving my petition; December 19th.  Or should I be tracking from the date I received the e-mail NOA1, December 26th?  I look forward to waiting alongside all of you on this thread for some good NOA2 news!

Hurray! USCIS finally made their maintenance update on their website. So now everyone should have something and not the 'case not found' message. Usually we should go by the date of the NOA1 notice (i.e email or text). But if your curious minds wants to see when they 'touched' your file (meaning had some kind of work or update done to your petition) then I believe you can log in to your MyUSCIS profile and see when the 'last updated' date is. If you notice the dates changing from time to time, then you know you have activity on your file

Thanks for the reply Nik-Jake.  I'm sure it really doesn't matter much whether I tracked it from the 19th or the 26th.  Seven days difference when we are looking at a 6-7 month wait, won't make too much of a difference haha.  I was just curious mostly for my own edification.  I was curious though if things would pick up once they get past summer filers.  I imagine there are fewer people who file in the winter than the summer?  Or is it all fairly standard and we are looking at 6-7 months regardless?

from what I saw in Igor's list - the people that have enrolled in their timelines here there isn't as much people from September/October and on. So yes - I would think once they finish the bulk of the summer filers, it might speed up some for us winter folks

Got the acceptance text/email today! I entered our receipt number on the website just to see if anything would happen, and it worked! It actually says that our application was received on Dec. 29th, which is strange because according to USPS it was delivered on Jan 2nd... So my question is: Should I count days from today or from Dec. 29th, or wait until we get the paper NOA1?

yes well that's how they all start....but you will notice that is heavily unreliable and don't rely on it. it will just make you frustrated. your adjudication is more likely going to be aug-sept , if you watch it closely you will see every two weeks the date gets pushed two weeks longer. just a FYI
