Hi Everyone

We are on day 141 since the NOA1 still 39 days to go to reach 180.

I collected my Police Clearance yesterday. My Unabridged Birth certificate is also in place. All I have to do now is print the proof of our Skype calls, Whatsapp messenger, Emails, Proof that we have met in person, Photos of us and our engagement, Wedding plans (invoices for my dress etc) I have a designer who is making my dress in South Africa. I was there for a fitting yesterday, and OMW it's so unreal to stand there having your wedding dress on. Can't wait to get married. It's so good to see there is November approvals. It sure give hope.

Have a amazing weekend ya' all.

Hi guys I have a question. After the NOA2 approval is there a app you can track with the NVC? or how do you know when NVC assign case number and send to your embassy?

I just want to get all my ducks in a row and prepare for all the steps after NOA2. I am really positive about our approvals. Counting the days.

What is appropriate for Proof of relationship when it comes to printing ? Is it good to have as much proof or what is the balance?

Lol. Hell no. I ain't bringing my whole chatlog. That's worse than literotica.com. They don't need to see all them naughty bits  😂😂😂

I took some conversations from over the years that were either significant  (talking about marriage, the kids, family and such) or verifying something else (planning a trip or something). I think I got 5 pages of chats from various points in time.

Good point girl. Well my fiance and I we used two separate chat apps to keep one clean for INS proof of communication. We do not want our naughty stuff to be exposed lol.

You will call NVC to learn if they received your case and then you will receive your case number. There’s a website to check when you receive the case number which is the same website as ds-160 link goes to from your embassy’s website.

theres no app to check after this phase.

it will first say “at NVC” then it will go “in transit” which is when they will send an email telling you or most likely the petitioner that the case has been sent to embassy. And will give you your number in written form attached.

when it says “ready” that means it reaches your embassy.

more detailed explanation:(right now the wait time is 2-3 weeks to reach to NVC

The more, the better. My chat logs are like 5 pages each or so (5 pages of Skype logs, 7 pages of Whatsapp and 4 pages of Facebook logs). Then the pictures are like 10 pictures (I think?) and my boarding pass of when I traveled to the US to meet him, the reservation of the aparment I rented when I was there (he stayed with me and my family for two weeks) and when we went to his state just receipts of restaurants, a football game, etc etc. My fiance thinks it's too much but I personally don't want to take risks or anything. If they ask for it good, and if they don't that's good too :)

yes our lawyer said 20 pages of beginning of relationship and 20 pages of end before interview. And then photos, receipts, gifts receipts, accommodation receipts, flight boarding passes for him when he visit me in SA, wedding plans and quotes etc. I think we will be fine. Still a lot to do before the actual interview. SA medical is a bit expensive.

Love your energy!!

Not sure if all this is needed as that looks a little exhaustive (no disrespect) and ultimately more value will be in placed in answering their questions as that will convey the underlying bona fide element. Lawyers don’t always get it right. I know that from mistakes in our petition already.

Using your embassy forum on VJ will give you a good idea. I guess it also depends on whether you’ll be interviewing in a high fraud country vs low fraud etc as that can dictate how much you actually need. The UK is commended by many past K1-er’s as being an excellent embassy. I lost count of how many times of  people say that they didn’t need chat logs, endless lists, XYZ, copies of k1’s etc and in reality needed none of it. Your interview will most likely last 5-10 minutes and plus they will have a copy of your secondary info from your petition. Definitely place more value in people who have successfully got the approved K1 T’shirts from your embassy over some things Lawyers say or think you need as they aren’t always right!! 😊

Ok looking at the new approvals is getting a little disappointing. It seems like they are slower coming and the last posts were from the beginning of September ?!? It seems like we are moving backwards and not forwards :-(

My Embassy is in South-Africa. And yes I follow all forums for as much info as possible. Unfortunately I had 2 very bad experiences at my Embassy last year for visitor visa's. They refused my visitors due to not enough proof of ties with country. So I want to be organised and prepared for this one. Don't want any come back with this one.

Thank you for the honest comment and advice. Yes I agree lawyers does not always knows best thats why I want to be prepared for any outcome. I know most people think the intervief is only a formality but I don't want to take any chances.

For now I'm very chilled and waiting for word from our application. :)

I know right? I was thinking the same thing :( Maybe it's starting slow and then in a week or two will be full of approved cases already, who knows!
