With rumours and mumblings rife that they've started with Novembers or are at least on Octobers applications. What (if anything) have people started to do in preparation for the next stage?

I have almost all the paperwork ready for the embassy. Collected all the documents I need (except the police certificate as it has a short validity). All I need to do is assemble the package and put our latest pictures and chats together.

 

Besides that I already started making my own AOS checklist and gathering documentation I need for that.

Just got a hold of the courthouse that finalized my divorce. Since my ex-husband and me divorced in a civilized fashion we did not need a lawyer and all, so we divorced the cheapest way we could, through an internet lawyer through a Skype meeting. I never knew where our papers were finalized. All I ever got was a letter from the city that my divorce was finalized and registered. So when we filed for K1 I contacted the city to ask for a certified copy of that registration. They gave me a copy of my marriage license which has the divorce date added onto it. I had asked around at that time and most Dutch people told me that was what they had sent in for K1 also. But now that I've been on this site for longer and seen many RFE's coming for no apparent reason at all and lots of RFE's for not having a judge signed document to prove your divorce, I got nervous. So I started calling and emailing an calling some more. The online lawyer had no clue cause they keep next to no records, so they sent me on to the courthouse. Apparently a judge did sign a document, but I never got that document. I never knew of its existence. The courthouses had a reorganization and no one had any idea what courthouse had handled my case, And I couldn't tell them cause I had no original. 

Today they finally found the original divorce decree, signed by a judge, and they will send me a certified copy. Hopefully I won't need it for an RFE, but if I do I have it. And even if I don't need it now, this way I will have it whenever I need it in the future. God this process is driving me nuts.

I am believing with you. I have been following November group and I see they haven't started yet. I was feeling happy as the previous months were rolling by and now we have stopped again. Ahh! I'm just hoping it's not like June was.

No I don't think we should worry too much. I have a good feeling about October and November. Even if it looks impossible there is always hope. Let's keep the positive vibe going. I am sure that a miracle is on the way.

Yeah I'm sorry love. This was an expedited case. They havent started December yet.
