Hi, I'm new the the forum. I've been reading a lot but I just joined today. My petition was received on December 29. I haven't heard any updates but reading peoples stories have really helped. So, thanks to everyone.

Aww that's so sweet of you! Never feel selfish about that, we all miss our loved ones but for some it's easier and for others like me it's kinda difficult (we both work a lot, not a lot of vacation days and mom is sick sadly). I'm dealing with it the best I can but sometimes it's hard, but we're hanging there. Waiting for the reunion

I'm so happy for you!! Hopefully you guys have a lovely time together! And I also agree, I can't wait for all of us to be getting the news all excited! :dancing:

Thank you for the kind words, it warms my heart.❤️ You're so sweet :luv:

Your a super awesome person!!! Respect is all I have for you ❤️

Welcome to the madhouse 😉

There's no update till you either get approved or rfe'd and that won't be likely for another 6 to 8 weeks.

If you keep an eye out on the November filers thread you can get an active update on how far they are processing cases. Every now and then we post an update here too to keep everyone up to speed.

Ok, good to know! Thanks for the information.  The situation is so bad in Venezuela right now that it makes this process so much more complicated (14-16 hour power outages most days, not much food and limited medical supplies).  I will have my fiance call to try and get a better time frame for when to schedule his medical.

What did the doctor's office tell your fiancé? I was checking the website of one of the embassy doctors and it says that the medical results can take up to 3 weeks (bc of the gonorrhea test) and the embassy site says it takes up to five weeks. I honestly doubt that the medical exam results will take months, especially since they are charging in dollars

He called and spoke with the doctor in Maracaibo.  He told him that once we get approved to schedule the medical exam.  It's looking like the average number of days from approval to interview is 80-95 days so I don't think waiting to get the medical results will be a problem.  The doctor didn't indicate that the results would take a long time.

I'm running the scans for November and I don't think they've started. I think those are people with October received dates, that probably are using a Nov 1 "submitted date". I'll post scan results up in November thread soon, and I'll monitor it each day this week. I'm sure they have to start soon though!
